Upgrading NS website, too, today and getting this when trying to do a NS upload:

Cannot POST /api/v1/treatments.json

Same website address and same API Password...you don't' have to enable uploads in NS itself do you? Been so long since I set it up

Matt Pressnall
@logichammer
Mar 07 2016 01:03
migrating to the dev branch of NS do you disconnect the master deployment and redeploy with dev to keep all the stuff in the profile editor? is that the correct procedure?
Matt Pressnall
@logichammer
Mar 07 2016 01:14
If I try to hit my NS website at https://somesite/api/v1 should I get: Cannot GET /api/v1
Brian Bonner
@itsn0tm3
Mar 07 2016 01:17
@logichammer I think it should, that was what I did and it seemed to work..
Matt Pressnall
@logichammer
Mar 07 2016 01:17
OK...so my new NS is semi broken as opposed to openaps having an issue
Brian Bonner
@itsn0tm3
Mar 07 2016 01:18
let me try the /api/v1 on mine and see if that works
Matt Pressnall
@logichammer
Mar 07 2016 01:18

let me rephrase
I get teh same result you do when going to /api/v1 so that could mean your NS is working?
do you get a NS result back when going to https://somesite?
Matt Pressnall
@logichammer
Mar 07 2016 01:23
Thanks and yes, the NS works...but I cannot get NS uploads to take anymore
we think it is because the location is different...even though we set the timezone
so retrying with specifying the west coast...your note helped...showed me it SHOULD return that message even when NS works.
Matt Pressnall
@logichammer
Mar 07 2016 01:58

@scottleibrand, any ideas as to why I might be getting this:

Cannot POST /api/v1/treatments.json

When running openaps upload-recent-treatments after doing all the needed stuff beforehand. Code hasn't been updated or changed on openaps side, NS website is on master with the same API_SECRET as before, thing like /pebble work on the NS site, other data is going into NS just fine via phone uploader. Anything I can do to debug this? Thanks!

@itsn0tm3

NS is supposed to be on the dev branch to work with openaps from waht I remember in the docs
from the docs: OpenAPS requires the latest (currently dev) version of Nighthscout, which can be found here: https://github.com/nightscout/cgm-remote-monitor/tree/dev.
Matt Pressnall
@logichammer
Mar 07 2016 02:10
I'll switch it over but we had previously been on master and this all worked...I think dev gets you the OpenAPS pill and some other stuff but with Master taking the data before, trying to figure it all out.

Ultimate irony: official docs don't have those values specified...in my documentation in dev, I have it listed:
I wish I had told Carlin to check there / referred to it myself...FYI, definitely want that included in the docs, though

@jmatheson You mentioned you can’t get console access and use the TI at the same time. If that’s because you need to power the edison through one of the ports, I use a USB splitter to supply power and console access thrught the console port.
I haven’t found a clean cable that does it without adapters, but this works with an extra adapter: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0179OXY9I?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00
If you have never been able to connect to the Wi-Fi network where you are at all, it could be the psk. Are there any special characters in the Wi-Fi password? I’ve had trouble with this on a couple of networks.

Hey there, what is your experience with openaps and sick days? Julia has a cold and so far the hi temps have managed to keep her in the 200-250 mg/dL range. She is never sick so we don't have much experience with this kind of situation, but I'm sure that without openaps it would be more in the 300 mg/dL range. Definitely an improvement. I'm considering defining a second basal profile, 20% higher than the standard, and let openaps continue to do its work. Would it be better to change the correction factors? Any thoughts?
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
Mar 07 2016 16:09
You could also change her ISF
a higher basal would also work, but you’d have to watch and switch it back as soon as she starts recovering. I think tweaking ratios is easier...

when I was sick, high temps kept me to 150s rather than 250+, so saw similar help from it.
not sure what branch you’re on, but might be interesting to look at some of the autosensitivities calculation to help adjust to highs while she’s sick
if not, manually tweaking ratios will do it.
hope she feels better!

@scottleibrand i am able to get on via hotspot and can get online. i am not able to get online via wifi. the IP i quoted was when I was connected to the local router. I rebooted everything I can see that the edison is connected to the router. i have an IP. But still not able to ping anything. also not able to ssh in via local or the ip address.

@MosiGitHub looks like you changed the pump clock recently?

@jmatheson I don't understand what you mean by "via hotspot": are you not using wifi to connect to your phone hotspot?

I am trying to get my edison to connect to a home network.

right. can you connect the edison to the Internet via wifi to your phone hotspot? or only via USB?

@MosiGitHub I have seen problems with brand new pumps that don't have a full page of history yet. my workaround was to execute dozens of temp basals in a row to fill up the history so it would read properly.

however, my goal here is to get it on the home internet.

@jmatheson ok, good. that's progress. :)
how are you configuring your wireless stuff? can you paste the appropriate sections of /etc/network/interfaces etc.?

@scottleibrand : yes, I bought this pump a couple days ago and after powering it up it was in year 2000. But I changed the date 5 days ago. So I don't understand why the pump is showing this stuff if I am asking for the last 4 hours ......Okay .... I will try that . Thankyou very much

if you haven't been using it yet, there won't be much data for it to work with.

Here is what i have setup which works on one home network and hotspot
# interfaces(5) file used by ifup(8) and ifdown(8)
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto usb0
iface usb0 inet static
    address 192.168.2.15
    netmask 255.255.255.0

auto wlan0
iface wlan0 inet manual
        wpa-roam /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

yes, but my son carring it this afternoon parallel to his "real" pump to test openaps with the edison rig. And I inserted the meal bolus in the dummy pump as well. I was wondering why the loop returned zero IOB. That is why I was checking the data...

not sure what the difference is between wpa-roam and wpa-conf
@MosiGitHub yeah, that seems buggy. might want to download the raw pages for someone like @bewest to look at
I never can remember the commands to do that, though.

@jmatheson the other diff is the manual vs. dhcp

if that doesn't fix it, we should take a look at your wpa_supplicant.conf too

sure, no idea how, but certainly interested to get this fixed :+1: righht now I have inserted at least 25temp basal changes ... continueing ;-)
the first test was nice : just showing the last temp basal changes :+1: now I play a little bit more with the pump. Thanks for your help @scottleibrand

@bewest thx for your hint. Unfortunately that didn't help. /dev/ttyUSB0 is owned by group plugdev, I also tried sudo openaps use pump model and chmod go+rw /dev/ttyUSB0 to no avail.

@tghoward - have not had any time to consider updating docs. Travel and other things getting in the way but agree that including the info about how to clone and from where would be useful for @danamlewis and @scottleibrand to have. Thank you for the links and I may have a few minutes this coming weekend to modify. (Have not updated git docs before - only code - but guessing it works the same way.) Is there any special coding to consider for the docs (e.g. markdown or other?) B.
