Could someone help me interpret the OpenAPS prediction in the NS screenshot below? Our son had a bolus of 20 g, but there was no discernable rise in BG from that bolus. The OpenAPS prediction dipped and then recovered, so that eventual BG was around 6 mmol/L. Consequently, the algo didn't low temp and he went low a bit later. I see this sort of pattern a lot using Loop with a mismatch between insulin and carb activity times. Is AMA looking for a rise in BG, not seeing one, and keeping it to apply later, hence the rise in eventual BG?

The OpenAPS pill would indicate the reason, but I'm suspecting that it's either of two things: 1) you might be in bolus snooze, in which case it doesn't low temp because you just bolused, or 2) your predicted BG goes below and then above target, so it runs a neutral temp until that changes.
if you want OpenAPS to "fix your mistake" when you over-bolus and be able to low-temp to counteract a bolus you just gave, you'd need to change the bolus snooze divisor in preferences. raising the divisor from 2 to 3 would mean that bolus snooze would decay over DIA/3 hours (60-90m) instead of DIA/2 hours (90-120m).
but you'd probably be better off doing a smaller initial bolus if you regularly see this low-then-high pattern, and allow AMA to high-temp when the insulin is actually needed
Paul Dickens

Mar 27 2017 00:15
k, here's the reason string from about that time:
"reason": "COB: 38, Dev: 66, BGI: -17.06, ISF: 6.0, Target: 6.0; 7.2-5.4 in range: no temp required; setting current basal of 0.9 as temp. Setting neutral temp basal of 0.9U/hr"
We don't see that pattern too often, suspect that on this occasion the bolus coincided with a lot of insulin activity from breakfast earlier. Thanks for the suggestions.
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 00:17
if you notice it "should" be low-temping and it's not, you should also set a high temp target (like activity mode, but maybe shorter duration)

Mar 27 2017 00:28
OK, thanks. So it never considers low bg within the DIA? Would it make sense to low temp on the basis of a predicted low, even though eventual BG is in range?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 00:32
consider how long it takes for a low-temp to help: usually the low is predicted to be over and done with before then
with oref0, we consider the risk of a big rebound from low-temping to be higher than the risk of any ill effects we could mitigate with low-temping (from a low that is predicted to resolve itself due to carbs you've already eaten)
that said, there are some other algorithms we're working on where that calculus changes, but if you're interested in those discussions, that's more of a topic for elsewhere I think...

Does anyone know whether netbasalinsulin or hightempinsulin is used anywhere in the OpenAPS algorithms? I can't find any use of them except in lib\iob\total.js (where they're calculated) , in oref0\Release.md (which seems to indicate that hightempinsulin has replaced netbasalinsulin -- and isn't being used any longer?), and in oref0/tests/determine-basal.test.js. Working on updating some docs, but don't want to expend effort documenting variables that aren't used. Thanks!

@thebookins Awesome, thanks. I've been kicking around with the IOB and activity calcs lately, trying to understand them. I don't know what you've got going on with the mmhistorytools, but I've found the IOB and activity calcs hard to grasp. I took a quick glance at the calculate.js code in openaps/oref0#375 and it's a little easier to grasp, perhaps, but I'd need to spend some more time with it. I've done some replication and graphing of the math myself to better understand what's going on. (You can see the calc's here: https://github.com/parenthetic/Replicate-OpenAPS-IOB-calcs) It seems to me like there's an odd disconnect between the IOB calcs and the activity calcs. My understanding is that activity = IOB@t-1 - IOB@t, but there's no clear linkage in the formulas used. The differences produced seem minimal, but unnecessary. Feed back is certainly welcomed, and my money is on my own mistake somewhere...
Paul Dickens
@thebookins
Mar 27 2017 03:34
Cool @parenthetic I'll have a look. Activity is the negative derivative of IOB ( - (IOB@t - IOB@t-1)/delta(t)) in the limit that delta(t) --> 0).

Paul Dickens
@thebookins
Mar 27 2017 03:43
@parenthetic Good point about there being no clear linkage between IOB and activity. I've tried to make that more explicit in openaps/oref0#375 where f1 is the integral of f0 etc.
BTW IMO it's a great idea to document these curves and calcs.
parenthetic
@parenthetic
Mar 27 2017 03:56
@thebookins Thanks. My sense is that there's a little too much calculus involved. Doing all calcs in finite minute increments seems sufficient. But perhaps I'm mistaken about this. I'm not sure what you mean by "negative derivative" aside from just -1 * dIOB/dt. But in my replication calcs, plugging in the current calcs for activity produces this:

Mar 27 2017 04:11
@scottleibrand I agree. The diffs seem minimal. But like I said, I think the coefficients and the quadratic formulas might be unnecessary. If you/we start off with the splined activity lines you/we should be able to back into the smooth IOB curves in a way that's easier to grasp. (I think.)
@thebookins Yup. The code is in there. Two separate ipython notebooks. One for IOB and another for Activity. (But then I went back and re-calculated Activity based on IOB@t-1 - IOB@t to compare with the straight-up oref0 activity calcs.

@danamlewis the piece missing that i used json from my own 722 loop was the raw-pump/selected-basal-profile.json file since the examples in the hardware section were missing that file. I think it would be easier to have a 512 section with details of what the files actually contain since a non techie like the friend i was helping or a techie without a running non 512 loop might have problems. I will have my non techie friend review my pr to help reduce techie language and asumptions. I will do a pr it just wont be fast since chemo is messing with my brain and life.

@scottleibrand @parenthetic The two quadratic equations model seems to work pretty well. However, it is really only an approximation. A more physiological model would be a multicompartmental linear model where insulin transitions from the injection site to the final site of insulin activity. Also, the rate of disappearance of glucose is actually proportional to the product of glucose concentration and insulin activity.

@fiberfan :+1: that's the other thing - most of 512 docs were created pre-oref0-setup.sh existed, so or with examples and specifics in one place would be great. Ditto for someone who wants to make oref0-setup.sh automate those changes if someone says they're using a 512...

Hi! Haven't seen any easy explaination in plain english how Openaps gets the numbers that it needs to do its magic. Going from Loop and trying to set up OpenAPS. Have read the docs but I'm not sure if I really have understod everything. In Loop you enter all the settings both in pump and in the app (CA, ISF, basals, etc). When setting up Openaps I can't find anywhere to put those numbers in. Does openaps only use the settings you have in the pump or does it use any settings in Nightscout?

@scottleibrand re micro boluses - I've been using them for a long time one heads up - if you send a remote bolus via decocare and the user at the same time enters a bolus from the keypad, you get a pump error and the pump has to go thru a restart sequence (set time etc) - so check to see if the pump state is bolusing before you send the command and do the check immediately before sending the command. However, given Murphy's law, it still happens occasionally. Realize the reboot looses any temp basals and also if you were doing a square wave or something in the background that shuts down too. I haven't found a way around this issue we just deal with it. Hope that helps - let me know if you do think of a way to lock the keypad while issuing the command.

the only thing that seems strange is
this one
any record seems to be "in the future"...but openaps time is correct...have i to check something on openaps?
francesc0-cgm

I deleted the distribution and redeployed but it is still the same...can't use openaps without NS on my 4yr son.
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
Mar 27 2017 18:30
this might be related to the time change, then
you may have to wait past those future dated treatments if you canโ€™t delete them from the treatment records
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 18:31
i already deleted them using admin tools on NS

how can there be no reach at 2.5 Inches?
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis

@riwarren try one inch.
you may have a bum board or there may be something else going on

What does KeyError: 'mmtune' mean??
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
Mar 27 2017 18:46
@francesc0-cgm looks like you have a typo - a zero instead of an o for the oref0-set-device-clocks (try copy and paste instead of typing that in from the instructions)
but yes - openaps probably keeps re-uploading future treatments and thatโ€™ll probably happen til this resolves
also check and make sure your pump clock am/pm is correct
@riwarren is it stuck or is that just something in passing?

@riwarren try rebooting your board and then running that and see if you still get that mmtune error
and if you do, i think next steps it to try to reflash with ccprog
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 18:52
@francesc0-cgm none of us use xDripAPS, so if you're having problems with that, you might want to go back to using a standard Nightscout instance instead, and then work with @colinlennon or any other xDripAPS users to figure out those parts when it's not blocking you from looping
@riwarren just checking: do you have a WW or a NA pump?

@riwarren that's odd, I thought Canadian pumps were NA. can you verify the model number?
Rick Warren
@riwarren

are they?
REF MMT-754CMS
SN PBR809017H
CONF W4P9 whatever that means
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 18:55
hmm, normally the MMT model number has either the NA or WW string in it
maybe try it again with NA and see if you get better mmtune results at 916MHz

Mar 27 2017 18:55
@scottleibrand how can i check the json where bgs are to check the time?
Rick Warren
@riwarren
Mar 27 2017 18:55
@scottleibrand should I make that cut in the antenna on my explorer board then?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 18:55
@riwarren no, don't make any permanent modifications yet
the Explorer board works fine at 916MHz without the cut
that's just to get an extra couple feet of range, but we haven't bothered with most of ours
@francesc0-cgm oref0 uses ~/myopenaps/monitor/glucose.json
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 19:00
Is there any chance to check it via ssh?
Rick Warren

BG data is too old (it's probably this) or clock set incorrectly. the last BG was read Tue Mar 07 2017 14:42:52 GMT-600 (CST) but your system time currently is .... (What ever the current time and date is at the time)

Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:12
@francesc0-cgm you might want to take a step back, stop trying the scattershot change-everything approach, and start investigating things systematically
first off, you need to make sure everything is running correctly on your rig. that means completely ignoring nightscout for a bit and checking the logs
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:13
logs are ok and rig is online...
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:13
is it looping (setting temp basals)?
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm

yes and i can see t basals on my site
as iob and cob (uploaded from MM openaps).
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:14
that last part doesn't make sense to me, but we're ignoring NS right now
what time does your pump think it is? your rig?
francesc0-cgm

Scott Leibrand

Mar 27 2017 20:15

no...
the problem was here also on saturday before changing the CEST
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:19
ok, then let's look at those treatments in mlab. you said "don't know why but they have correct timestamp..." - are you saying they are or are not correctly timestamped?
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:19
i looped with openaps one week ago
then i started again to tweak settings on this saturday. Looping was ok but NS site wasn't
they have correct timestamp...i mean they are on today
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand

have you done openaps first-upload yet?
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:24
yep and i had a lot of errors. I try again and i paste here the log
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:24
wait a sec
I need to understand first: where should BG data be coming from?
what is supposed to be uploading BG data to NS?
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:27
openaps
xdripaps takes data from parakeet via xdrip plus
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:28
do you have a Dexcom receiver plugged into your openaps rig?
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:28
no
i have a parakeet sending bg to xdrip plus then via bt to the rig
using bt tethering and drip aps
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:28
hmm, not sure how that is supposed to work
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:28
i paste you in pm
the log from first-upload string
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:29
first-upload doesn't matter here I don't think
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:29
it had worked a couple of days
then i stopped to loop with openaps during the week
and when i tried again to loop
loop was working but i have never seen a bg in NS
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:29
how did you set up all this xdripaps stuff? is that in oref0-setup, or did you do it manually?
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:30
via script...
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:30
via which script?
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:30
openaps 0ref script
with bt tethering on
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:30
that is not a thing. please be specific
you need to be literal and specific to work with computers like this. if I can't tell what you're trying to say, the computer has no chance.
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:31
oref0-setup.sh
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:31
k thx
master release or dev branch of oref0?
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:32
master one
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:32
k, let me look at what that does when you choose xdrip
ah, so I was wrong. first-upload is relevant for the xdrip setup
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:35
i have a lot of errors doing that please check my last pm
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:35
so your output said cat: nightscout/glucose.json: No such file or directory
so let's look at what glucose data is available where
does monitor/glucose.json have up to date data? how about nightscout/glucose.json?
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:36
i check
which command have to use to check? :D
vi ?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:36
or cat or less
vi is slightly overkill, but will work
sorry, I'm using a lot of colloquial English. vi is a tool for editing files. it can also be used to view them, but it's not the easiest way to do so.
but whatever works for you is fine. :)
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:38
ok i used cat :D
monitor/glucose.json is updated
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:38
I think I might know what the problem is
does nightscout/glucose.json even exist?
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:39
no such file or directory...
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:39
thought so
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:39
strange i didn't touch anything from saturday to saturday
i switched off the rig and left it on the table
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:40
so it looks like whomever set up the first-upload alias for xdripaps just copied it from the MDT config without updating it to reflect the way xdripaps stores glucose data
you probably took your rig offline for a couple days
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:40
for more than 2 days of course...
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:40
and when you got it back online, it couldn't upload, and then openaps first-upload didn't work because it's buggy
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:40
5 or 6 precisely
could be :D
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:40
k. so we just need to fix first-upload and then run that
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:41
sorry but i didn't know what first-upload was before you told me
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:41
yeah, the fact that people have to run that manually is also a problem
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:41
how can i fix this? :D
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:41
this should be done automatically
I'm figuring that out, one minute
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:42
thank you @scott you are very kind
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:42
thx for slowing down to work with me to find the bug
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:43
i went very fast because i hoped it was easy to fix...without you i wasn't be able to fix it
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:43
heh
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm

so sorry for that...i'm discovering that openaps is very very complex
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:44
yes, it is. sometimes a quick fix works, but I like to go slowly and figure out why it broke in the first place

@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:44
thanks
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:46
ok, I'd like to test a simple fix to see if that is sufficient. can you first run openaps alias show first-upload for me?
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:47
yes
root@edisonhost:~/myopenaps# cat nightscout/glucose.json
cat: nightscout/glucose.json: No such file or directory
root@edisonhost:~/myopenaps# openaps alias show first-upload
first-upload ! bash -c "cat nightscout/glucose.json | json 1 > nightscout/recent-missing-entries.json && openaps report invoke nightscout/uploaded-entries.json"
root@edisonhost:~/myopenaps#
here it is...
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:49
k, now try openaps alias add first-upload '! cat monitor/glucose.json | json 1 > nightscout/recent-missing-entries.json && openaps report invoke nightscout/uploaded-entries.json'
and if that works, run openaps alias show first-upload again
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:51
root@edisonhost:~/myopenaps# openaps alias add first-upload '! cat monitor/glucose.json | json 1 > nightscout/recent-missing-entries.json && openaps report invoke nightscout/uploaded-entries.json'
added first-upload ! cat monitor/glucose.json | json 1 > nightscout/recent-missing-entries.json && openaps report invoke nightscout/uploaded-entries.json
root@edisonhost:~/myopenaps#
seems it has liked it :D
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:52
and the show again?
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:52
show? sorry?
yep sorry
i go
root@edisonhost:~/myopenaps# openaps alias show first-upload
first-upload ! cat monitor/glucose.json | json 1 > nightscout/recent-missing-entries.json && openaps report invoke nightscout/uploaded-entries.json
root@edisonhost:~/myopenaps#
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 20:54
ok, good. now let's try openaps first-upload again
actually looks like that may not work. if not, one sec and I'll have you fix.
assuming that didn't work, run openaps alias add first-upload '! bash -c "cat monitor/glucose.json | json 1 > nightscout/recent-missing-entries.json && openaps report invoke nightscout/uploaded-entries.json"' and then do openaps alias show first-upload and openaps first-upload again
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 20:58
It gave me all updated bgs like monitor/glucose.json before then at the end
cat: |: No such file or directory
cat: json: No such file or directory
cat: 1: No such file or directory
cat: >: No such file or directory
[]cat: &&: No such file or directory
cat: openaps: No such file or directory
cat: report: No such file or directory
cat: invoke: No such file or directory
root@edisonhost:~/myopenaps#
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 21:00
ok, that was my error. try again with the revised one I just pasted
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 21:01
root@edisonhost:~/myopenaps# openaps alias add first-upload '! bash -c "cat monitor/glucose.json | json 1 > nightscout/recent-missing-entries.json && openaps report invoke nightscout/uploaded-entries.json"'
added first-upload ! bash -c "cat monitor/glucose.json | json 1 > nightscout/recent-missing-entries.json && openaps report invoke nightscout/uploaded-entries.json"
root@edisonhost:~/myopenaps# openaps alias show first-upload
first-upload ! bash -c "cat monitor/glucose.json | json 1 > nightscout/recent-missing-entries.json && openaps report invoke nightscout/uploaded-entries.json"
root@edisonhost:~/myopenaps# openaps first-upload
ns://JSON/shell/nightscout/uploaded-entries.json
reporting nightscout/uploaded-entries.json
root@edisonhost:~/myopenaps#
yesssss
i got the bg...
:D
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 21:02
cool. and now the ns-upload loop should backfill the rest
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 21:02
thank you very very much...
is it a bug from xdripaps or was my fault?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 21:02
so turns out it was a one-word bug in the xdripaps-cgm.json
it just needs "nightscout/glucose.json" updated to "monitor/glucose.json"
I'll PR that fix to oref0 dev
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 21:03
very happy to have solved the issue
and glad to be part of a PR :D
thank you very very much

francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 21:04

ok fine
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand

and I see a new CGM data point on your NS graph. :)
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 21:09
yes it is fully working
and now it is looping again.

I thought I was being impolite and curt earlier, but I'm glad you didn't think so. :)
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 21:11
no i did not. it is my fault...i think all is easy and quick to fix...
i discovered openaps comes from another world :D
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 21:11
it was actually a pretty easy fix. it was finding the thing to fix that was slow and difficult. :)
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 21:12
yes for your skill it was very easy :D
for me it was impossible to solve by myself
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 21:13
:D :D :D
i'm quite a noob, yes...
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 21:14
or perhaps the moral is that OpenAPS has gotten rather complicated over time. :)
anyway, have a good evening!
francesc0-cgm
@francesc0-cgm
Mar 27 2017 21:14
thank you very much again @scottleibrand
have a good evening too...

Also opened openaps/oref0#434 if anyone wants to work on fixing oref0 so we don't have to run openaps first-upload manually

The genesis of that story is a hydro plant in Schenectady, NY. Charles Proteus Steinmetz marked an "x" to assist Henry Ford fix a large generator. http://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/charles-proteus-steinmetz-the-wizard-of-schenectady-51912022/

blob
why does autotune says that to me please (just want to have a first look on it) @scottleibrand ?
what is CSF ?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 21:50
I'm guessing your rig/VM is set to a locale that uses , as a decimal separator. autotune requires you to use a locale with . as the separator
Carb Sensitivity Factor. please re-read the autotune docs: all of this is in there
elodaille01
@elodaille01
Mar 27 2017 21:54
ok..about CSF, i'm searching..but..don't find where I have to enter that value ? (I guess that was Carb Sensivity Factor but..what else ? sorry)
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 21:55
You won't need to enter CSF anywhere. The pump just uses ISF and CR. CSF is the ratio of those two.
elodaille01
@elodaille01
Mar 27 2017 21:56
and about the '.' , where do I have to change this ? in NS, I've already choose '.' as a decimal separator
thank you for CSF..

I just find it while you were pasting me the link..sorry

@scottleibrand @libxmike : please have a look at my latest comment in openaps/oref0#357 . Is there anything needed before this can be merged to dev? Is there anybody out there (preferably with WW pump) that also can test this branch to see if it's good to go to the dev branch?

Hi! Where can I see my BG targets, and change them? Just realized now when I succeded to start up my rig that I don't know this. I can see my target in the Openaps pill but where does that number come from, I have not entered it?
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
Mar 27 2017 22:51
Itโ€™s pulled from your pump settings in the bolus wizard @ellabellakaramella

Does anyone have a 3d case design for Edison+explorer+2500mah yet (not the 2000mah battery like most cases are for)?
@danimaniac are you still making one?
dan lightner
@danimaniac
Mar 27 2017 23:26
@tynbendad My case fits the referenced 2000mAh battery.
dmdfreak
@dmdfreak
Mar 27 2017 23:28
I'm getting this all the time in NS. Its not always there, but most of the time it is when I click on the openaps bubble.
BG data is too old (it's probably this) or clock set incorrectly. the last BG was read Tue Mar 07 2017 14:42:52 GMT-600 (CST) but your system time currently is .... (What ever the current time and date is at the time)
It happens so often that I wonder if it is effecting changes that would normally be made in the loop
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
Mar 27 2017 23:34
@dmdfreak how do you get bgs into your loop?
And is your rig online and working when you see this?
tynbendad
@tynbendad
Mar 27 2017 23:35
@danimaniac ok thx, someone mentioned you might be making another one, guess not.
dan lightner
@danimaniac
Mar 27 2017 23:40
@tynbendad It wouldn't be that hard to adjust the sizing on my case. You know the 2500mAh battery will require approx. 10hrs to charge with the Explorer Board, right?
dmdfreak
@dmdfreak

Mar 27 2017 23:49
are you using xdripAPS?
dmdfreak
@dmdfreak
Mar 27 2017 23:50
No ma'am. Didn't know it existed till the early help y'all gave
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
Mar 27 2017 23:50
ok. so usually bg old means itโ€™s not uploading BGs to nightscout
so if you see that again, check to make sure your rig is online - you might have wifi or bt tethering problems
you may also want to add xdripaps so you can loop offline even if you have connectivity problems
dmdfreak
@dmdfreak
Mar 27 2017 23:54
Where do I add that? I can't Bluetooth tether. My rig is going through home WiFi or wifi tether through my tablet because my phone starts missing readings from the G5 if I tether through it
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Mar 27 2017 23:54
when you get that error, is it because the G5 has been missing readings?
