@rsilvers129 - It is embedded in some other plugin scripts I wrote. Let me make it more modular, separate it and I will share it with you as soon as I get it separated. If that works for you.

Hi everyone, long time, not talk. Quick update - I have been running OpenAPS for over one year, on an off depending on some circumstances, and I can see the difference! Just moved my site to Heroku (as I will be loosing access to the Azure subscription I was using), and everything worked like a charm. I have a couple of questions though: My nightscout site for some reason stopped showing data on the pump and OpenAPS pillboxes. I know my rig is working as I see the temps, and the nightscout site is updated correctly. Any idea why this would be happening? It was an existing issue before on the Azure site as well...so I think it must be related to the rig itself...

@Kdisimone Sorry I missed your message the other day, busy weekend at work. I'll check my chrontab

@live4sw - we have a waist bag that is waterproof for the pump. Got it on amazon. There's a spot that the tubing comes through so pump is still functional. Some ppl swim with it - we just used it at the beach for running around, for actual swimming DS could take pump off for an hour or more without trouble. We also have a small waterproof bag for the other gear.

Hi .... I need someone to confirm that NS is properly installed on rig os
The developer claims that he was able to do so
Any idea how can I paste an image into here using iPhone or andriod ?
samihusseingit
@samihusseingit
Jun 27 2017 05:25 UTC
take a screen shot, upload the image on here, then paste the link
Gitter on mobile does not have attachment functionality yet :)
Hope someone can help you in figuring out whether NS is properly installed on ris? Not sure how that would work :) :) We usually just set it up on Azure/Heroku (Online)

Thx 4 all the help. After updating decocare to 0.0.32 my loop also works at daytime and delivers temp basals above 7 units/h. Those who found that extra bit are worth an applaus. So the max basal is know limited to 12,75, right?

Jun 27 2017 07:51 UTC
@stefanakerblom what was the extra bit that made it work?
stefanakerblom
@stefanakerblom
Jun 27 2017 07:56 UTC
According to Scott the developers found a hidden bit to make a temp bolus higher than 6,375 (thats 1 Byte=256 divided by 40 pumpticks). With an extra bit you have 512 divided by 40 pumpticks if I am right. I don't know where it was hidden.

@libxmike Yes in the decocare module (serial comms with the pump)
Trying to set up pancrabble. The doc states "(This assumes you've written pebble_subject.py / pebble_message.py to summarize the relevant bits of your loop state in the way you want.)" Where do I get these files from and a description of which?

rig was running out of space. Didn't know what/where space was being consumed ... downloaded a very lightweight and fast tool ncdu, an excellent command-line disk usage analyzer and it found my space issue easily and within seconds. cron mail was taking up all my free space. You can install and run ncdu as follows: apt-get install ncdu && ncdu

@rsilvers129 - I tested this script out after making it more modular (separating it) in my plugins folder under myopenaps and calling it from cron every minute. Works great. Let me know how it works for you. To install just create /root/myopenaps/plugins directory and put this script in there, chmod +x, and add it to cron for every minute. If you are not using SMB, then you may have to change the enact file in the script

@ericfeibelman Thank you. I installed it.
I ran out of space last week and had to delete some logs. Anyone have a script that monitors remaining file system size and deletes old logs automatically?

New. 1st Post. I have hardware on the way. Getting started and have my NS site setup through Heroku. Have dexcom. Bridge_Password & Bridge_user_name are all correct. Should I be seeing glucose data even though I'm not running the rig yet?
@rsilvers129 you can tweak the log retention settings in /etc/logrotate.conf too, to make sure you're only keeping around a modest amount

complow.tiff
so here we have an overnight - compression low - suspend - come off the compression low - high temp … is there some magic to smooth this a bit so we don’t go right to the high temp?

Hello
Im tying to use decocare on a raspberry pi with carelink USB to read CGM data from the pump
I'm getting a lot of errors
'bool' object has no atribute 'write'
when I call mm-latest.py
anyone had the same error ?
So far the only thing I could do is get my pump model ...

@danamlewis @stefanakerblom : Thanks. New to NS. Assumed it would pull from Clarity. Now know I have to turn share on the G5 App and invite a follower. Never had a follower set up so it wasn't sharing data.

@mhaeberli the high temp is just replacing the insulin you missed from zero-temping during the compression low
it's already smoothed based on minDelta, which means it's using the avgDelta against ~30m ago data, not the uptick, to decide how much to high temp
@ericfeibelman ndcu looks great: want to PR that into the docs?

Finally solved my Nightscout issues- Still not sure what was really causing them, but using the mLab function to repair the collections got everything running again.
Is there an easy way to merge the collections? I had it running on a different collection until I could troubleshoot the real one.
If not, no huge deal, but I'd like to recover the data if it's easy.
Mike
@libxmike
Jun 27 2017 18:24 UTC
@dramageek the only one way I can think of is to export the data, merge local on you PC/Mac then import, never done it with mLab but thats what I did sometimes with small DB's like SQLite or MySQL back in the '90

@live4sw I've used the bags for breastmilk in the past with success, though not for submerging. They're sturdier than a regular ziploc, and about the right size.
The pump gets double-bagged (I'm going to order some silica packets to toss in this year), and also fit my phone and a dexcom perfectly. Helps that my Pebble is already waterproof too.

suppose I wanted to fire off a pushover when openaps had set a zero temp for more than 60 minutes just to give me a heads-up to add carbs? what’s the easiest way to do that? maybe a cron job that looks at the log file for an enact or something like that with the right properties and then fire pushover?

WW and in the last 10 days.

So… I want to make a rig that just covers my bedroom because my rig has failed overnight several times from overheating when charging, or other reasons. I ordered a Ti CC1111.
