@Diadon81 I was able to reproduce and debug the problem with ns-upload, and just pushed a fix. it's a bit duplicative and not as elegant as what @PieterGit was trying to do, but it's not broken for non-tokenauth users. I haven't tested it with tokenauth yet.

I did. But they generally take a week or more to respond to emails, and then sometimes 4-5 weeks to send a replacement. So be prepared to wait 5-6 weeks. It is best to buy 2-3 boards to incease the chances of having a working rig. When I get my replcement, I will send my other one in, though that makes me nervous to just have one working system at a time - especially knowing that if someting happens, I can’t quickly get parts for another system. To be truely comfortable, I have concluded that I need three systems.

Thanks, just emailed them now. I wanted to test out the rig before buying multiple boards so I guess i'll have to wait for the exchange. My 4yr will be going from Omni to the MM so Im still trying to sort out how he'll carry around a MM, Rig, and iPhone in daycare and still be able to play comfortably.

just trying to finish up a dev board to start trying out UAM+SMB and seeing this in the log:
Waiting up to 4 minutes for new BG: ls: cannot access monitor/pump_loop_completed: No such file or directory

monitor/pump_loop_completed: No such file or directory is just a symptom: ignore that part. the port n thing looks like you messed up your oref0-setup

Will give it a shot again. I'm using CareLink still and didnt see an option to indicate yes to it.
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Jul 02 2017 03:29
ok, Carelink is completely unsupported at this point, so it's possible the script doesn't work for that

    read -p 'Are you using mmeowlink (i.e. with a TI stick)? If not, press enter. If so, what TTY port (full port address, looks like "/dev/ttySOMETHING" without the quotes - you probably want to copy paste it)? ' -r
if you hit "n" there, you'll get the problem you're seeing. you have to hit enter
so carelink should still work if you do that part right

if anyone has a pump that logs carb corrections when you enter carbs into the bolus wizard and then cancel out of it (or enter a zero bolus), we could use some help testing a fix for that: openaps/oref0#512

might be a problem with the wait-for-silence, as carelink can't do that
so if you want to use oref0-pump-loop with Carelink, I think some special conditionals will need to be added
you're using mmeowlink on your production rig, right? this is just for dev?
Joey
@Cooljoe04_twitter

This is my only rig until the other parts show up to build a better one.
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Jul 02 2017 04:33
then it may be best to switch back to master after all. for now, it doesn't use oref0-pump-loop, and I think oref0-setup does the right things to update your pump-loop and other aliases to work with the Carelink limitations

Joey
@Cooljoe04_twitter
Jul 02 2017 04:39
I've been using the basic for a couple weeks now, and seem to be finding several instances where my BG starts steadily climbing w/o eating and the std implementation wasnt treating aggressively enough to keep me from going high and staying there, which is what prompted looking at the dev stuff and UAM, which would treat the condition proactively.

no need to paste it all in here. you can do this instead:
that lets you select given lines or blocks of code and gives you a URL you can just paste
notice I linked to the smb_main() loop - that is what is relevant if you're wanting to do SMB
another thing that may not be obvious: when the script calls a command like wait_for_silence, that corresponds to the function wait_for_silence defined somewhere else in the file, in this case https://github.com/openaps/oref0/blob/dev/bin/oref0-pump-loop.sh#L294-L307

in the case of wait_for_silence, everything it's doing is mmeowlink-specific, so it's just a question of what is easiest to comment out

hi everyone! first night looping for my kid! :) quick question... is there any way to turn off the pump vibration when a temp basal is issued ? i can't find any option for that... we're using a 522
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
Jul 02 2017 05:38
No. Vibration or audible alert are the only options. The one option is to skip setting a neutral temp basal - which means it'll set less temps, but the downside is it may make it harder to see if the loop is working. (Most people leave that on so can glance at the pump and know temp set recently = all is well)
It should only vibrate at the top of the hour, though, not when setting new temps

@SebastienLussier - I turned vibrations completely off on my 722 and 522 by setting the alarm mode to the shortest (most quiet) setting. I can't hear the beeps at night and rarely hear them in the daytime, but that could be my aging ears.
@peterfulvi - Not sure I can be much help since I use MDT CGM, but I do have to wait about 30 minutes and sometimes up to an hour after "refreshing" my system for these type of errors to go away on their own. I hope that is the case for you.

My CGM sensor ended: are there some action to take regarding OpenAPS rig? Should I turn it off?
fidoman
@efidoman
Jul 02 2017 10:19
@giupo - Not unless you just want to. The rig will realize their isn't any glucose data and just keep looping waiting for glucose data and doing nothing basically. The insulin pump will not have any temp basals set automatically and just go back to the normal basal profile. Once you setup a new sensor, the rig will pick back up automatically if you didn't shut it down.

@peterfulvi this happened to me last night, kept saying my date setting on RPi was off, and tryed ntpd sync. Dunno why...
@ericfeibelman my concern is just if there's some forecasting alg that gets hit by the missing data of the next hours (spent recharging the transmitter: I own a Minimed CGM). Thank you, I'll leave my RPi running...
fidoman
@efidoman
Jul 02 2017 10:24
@giupo - that's a good point and maybe someone else knows the impact to autosens, autotune, etc. I assumed those algorithms ignore periods of time where there isn't glucose data, but ???

And is it possible to have 1 rig to run 2 pumps ? At the same time for two different users ?

I want to share my experience with you all: I saw some errors concerning git on $HOME/myopenaps (I use a RPi as rig); the RPi CPU started to be extremely hot (close to the 85 degrees limit) so I deleted the crontab, and I executed, one-by-one, the statements in the crontab. I've seen that there are several operations over the git repository that failed (a git-pack, probably some git gc invocation that spawned on all cores... the headline for an incoming SD failure). I managed to fix the git repository garbage collecting the git repo... but by the time I crontab backup.cron everything got stuck. I lost my rig. So BACKUP your SD cards as images so you can burn on another piece of hardware and recover from failures.

the documents say i need to create 3 files: raw-pump/settings.json, raw-pump/bg-targets-raw.json, and raw-pump/selected-basal-profile.json
but it doesn't specify the format for them

only way it might be related is if you still have a report that's trying to pull those settings from a 512 pump (which doesn't support those commands)

Looking like some further troubleshooting may be required on my end Scott with regards to the CareLink stick. Seems like it runs as closed loop fine for quite a while (several hours), then it will get into a funk where it goes back into listening loops again and stops reporting to NS. Fairly certain it is still related to mmtune, and indicates some kind of byte error. Need to look closer next time it shows it/stops.

@marafie: rigs are currently designed for one pump/CGM/user. Not sure what it would take for you to do two people, or if that would be feasible with the radio and the amount it needs to be communicating with a single pump to loop regularly.

@danamlewis from what I have seen that I am sure that the openaps currently is only programmable for one user, however the CGM and user profile and details are done on the software level...... which could be modified to handle several users..... while the radio communication which I am not sure of that for changing the Frequency does the hardware setup needs to be changed or not this needs to be further investigated .... if the radio setup is being changed on the setup level ..... the challenge is to able to switch between two frequencies which the two pumps can be reached on without taking a lot of time during switching

@Diadon81 I’m not saying it’s not possible; just that it hasn’t been done yet with that use case in mind. like all things, you’re welcome to give it a go and see if you can make it work ;)
otherwise, short term solution would be carrying two small rigs.

@redshift83 currently getting no tune
Tom Petrillo
@tompetrillo
Jul 02 2017 19:08
does that mean its partially working for you?
for me, the crux of the issue seems to be that the command: openaps report invoke settings/model.json settings/bg_targets.json settings/insulin_sensitivities_raw.json settings/insulin_sensitivities.json settings/carb_ratios.json settings/profile.json
fails
the profile.json isn't generated.

I would like to configure my setup so when I'm home I'm looping offline and when I'm at my job I'm connected to that network. Jul 02 2017 23:11
@peterfulvi I was just working on this for my kid.
I setup camping mode, for when there is not an internet connection available. The BGs are kept on the Edison Rig.
I'm not sure of the advantage of using your work's network, once you have it setup as an offline-rig.
It can upload through that network, but since the rig can loop without internet (once setup), why have it switch back to online-mode. All you need it to upload the data when internet is available.
peterfulvi
