Hi all. I've been looping with MDT on a Edison/Explorer Board rig for the past few months with pretty good results. For several different reasons I wanted to switch to Dexcom. Got my G5 gear today and am using it with my Samsung Galaxy S7 as the receiver. I'm totally overwhelmed with how to get my G5 data into NS and am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Hoping for a few point form notes on steps I should be taking...

Ran out of room on the loop today - did "rm *.gz" in the /var/log directory but while used space when down available space didn't move off of zero. Is there a good way to reclaim that space?

ah, did the command "> syslog" which zeroed out the syslog file. much better
while in the /var/log directory

does max_iob have to be an integer?
or can it be a float - like 6.5?

I believe float is fine there, but test it to be sure

For those of you who use FIASP, are you all using 6.0-dev?

For anyone who's been testing or is about to try 0.6.0-dev, would appreciate some help for getting a writeup done so we can merge to dev. (That's the only blocker, because there's so much packed into this one, need to make sure we show what's different by default as well as the additional options)

@darrylschick To me it sounds like a charger malfunction/short. Did you try another charger and cable? Did you try the other micro-USB connector on the Edison?

Has anyone installed Jubilinux 0.2.0 on the edison? I have tried to follow http://openaps.readthedocs.io/en/latest/docs/Build%20Your%20Rig/OpenAPS-install.html but for v0.2.0, but my screen freezes on : https://gist.github.com/renegadeandy/2e3af2195eb3fe9d8227212a1d723ae3

Oops.
Anyone know why my NS page may be dropping openaps pill often and sporadically?
David
@davidkeddydb
Sep 13 2017 19:59
@scottleibrand Thanks. I have been using it without issue on the curve for Humalog, "rapid-acting". Will switch over tomorrow to "ultra-rapid" once I get FIASP going with it. Sort of taking the leap of faith changing my DIA up to 5 hours but will give it a go
@garykidd Is the NS page loosing authentication or something?

Sep 13 2017 20:01
Not that I can tell.
David
@davidkeddydb
Sep 13 2017 20:01
how often does it drop off?

@garykidd
Sep 13 2017 20:02
Isn't FIASP shorter in duration?
David
@davidkeddydb
Sep 13 2017 20:02
Peaks sooner/faster
openaps/oref0#568 I am going with the shortest DIA required but will kick it to 6 if the tail is to much

@garykidd
Sep 13 2017 20:06
Like half the time I go to view,my NS,site ,,,,,no openaps pill. Or pump
David
@davidkeddydb
Sep 13 2017 20:07
check your settings on the page and see if authentication is still on and if the boxes are still checked for both
when it happens

@garykidd
Sep 13 2017 20:10
So when it's not cooperating the ability to check radio boxes under settings isn't available. In fact the ns version is shown as unavailable. Weird
Did you go to Canada to obtain FIASP?
David
@davidkeddydb
Sep 13 2017 20:11
What browser are you using?
I actually got a mailing address in Canada and then had it shipped. I could have taken the 6 hour drive but this was easier. I received it in 5 days and it was still fairly cool/cold.

@renegadeandy your stuck in recovery mode. You'll have to interrupt the flash process in that boot screen for the edison (control D, if I remember right, held down). When you get the boot prompt >, you need to enter run do_flash

@danamlewis are the dev docs in the usual place in GitHub?
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
Sep 13 2017 22:31
Yes, but there's nothing in there about 0.6.0 - was planning to stick notes in the Pr so people testing will see those
And that will help us figure out what needs to go in the docs
