I recently updated rig to 0.6.0. I have been high for the last 24 hours. like 350 to over 400 high. I am using the IFTTT buttons on the phone. Unfortunately I had a cortisone shot yesterday and thought I would have been out of the woods today. Any suggestions on how to get BS down with 0.6.0? Although I did have a crash burn at 3:30 today...

@RedCyclist1 I would look at the logs and see if you're being limited by safety caps, or maxiob, or what. You may need to adjust them temporarily if you're dealing with sickness . You may also want to increase your maxiob if it was on the low end before 0.6.0

@danamlewis MAx IOB is 5, is that considered low?

@Samuchco try looking into the Troubleshooting Nightscout Issues in 'readthedocs'. That is where I found info when my mlab ran out of memory

@RedCyclist1 thanks. This is not an mLab issue. it's a rig memory.

@scottleibrand I'm at the full disk page. Which logs can I delete?
root@SammysAPS:/var/log# du -xh -d 3 | egrep "[1-9][0-9][0-9]M|[0-9]G"
156M    ./openaps

I am no having an issue with Bt auto thethering when I lave the house. It use to work fine until I had to switch to master branch and re-eintstlall oref. Rig worked fine at home on wifi but wont connect to my phone when i leave the house now. I double checked using the docs instructions, it was able to turn on the BT sharing on my phone, but when I went to double check and turned off wifi it would not automatically connect. I have the app BT auto tether enabled and the phone and it is successfully paired with the rig. Phone is a oneplus 5T.... not sure what "error for wireless request" means or how to fix it?
I have the BT auto tether app, that use to work, but is not currentlly.
someone said this one facebook but not sure what they mean and they wont respond to my questions "You also will have a different IP address when switching between so make sure xdrip cloud upload settings contain both IP addresses"

@scottleibrand @danamlewis Is there a page in the docs that tells which files you can delete. i.e. which logs?

when running logrotate -f /etc/logrotate.conf, I'm getting errors because the files exists and at the end I get this:
gzip: stdout: No space left on device
error: failed to compress log /var/log/wtmp.1

gzip: stdout: No space left on device
error: failed to compress log /var/log/btmp.1
error: error creating temp state file /var/lib/logrotate/status.tmp: No space left on device
so I need to delete manually something in order to create some room
cannot install ncdu

You can safely delete any log files in /var/log, unless you want to read them.
ls -larS will show the biggest ones at the bottom.

@scottleibrand have any idea on my BT tethering issues?

Dec 15 2017 06:02
Thanks @scottleibrand I delete some log files and created 50MB of space. The biggest file in var/log is /openaps with 155.5 MiB. Do I need this file? I know that you said that I can delete any file in /var/log. Will I need the data for this file?
also can I delete /var/cache? 247.8 MiB

try apt-cache clean (I think)
For Bluetooth issues, follow the setup instructions again. I just did that for all of our rigs. Sometimes they just get into a bad state and have to be set back up.

@scottleibrand but its not a rig issue... I trouble shoot and it connects when I test it and the wifi is off. its an auto issue I am pretty sure. Is there any other aps that work other then BT auto tehter?
ok i will redo the BT tether again though and see if it fixes it....

@scottleibrand i just used the documents and BT tethered my rig to to the phone... I just wont ever turn it off, to me this is the easiest solution rather then swithign between wifi and BT tethering... as Bt tethering willl use my wifi anyways so not to worried about power usage on my new android. thanks for the suggestions!

I had to reflash a rig of mine. I got the flashing done from, renamed the rig, set up the wifi and ran the script for installing openaps
curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/openaps/oref0/master/bin/openaps-install.sh > /tmp/openaps-install.sh
then
bash /tmp/openaps-install.sh
the script runs for a pretty long time but then ends here:
E: Unable to locate package npm
I have reflashed it like 3 times and keep ending up stuck here. Any pointers would be appreciated

looked on facebook and it seems that this may be an issue with the version of jubilinux I installed 3.10.98-jubilinux-edison

not yet. most of it happens automatically in oref0-setup

Dec 15 2017 22:16
does it just create an index.html page somewhere?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Dec 15 2017 22:18
no, it runs flask to dynamically generate it on demand
you do need to reboot the rig after first installing it
since it starts up with an @reboot line in cron

Hey all, having a little trouble with sustained highs after breakfast. Prebolusing 20 mins before, seeing rapid rise after eating, consequently (I assume) the carbs are decayed to zero quickly. Once the carbs are decayed there is still significant IOB and oref0 zero-temps. I'm not convinced the carbs aren't still active. Are my assumptions close to the money? Anything to try other than reducing the CR at breakfast? On Novorapid BTW. Fiasp not available in Aus yet.

@thebookins - you running autotune by any chance?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Dec 15 2017 22:43
@thebookins you have UAM turned on? it shouldn't be zero temping unless you're predicted to go low
Paul Dickens
@thebookins
Dec 15 2017 22:51
@tazitoo we run autotune from time to time, but turned off at the moment due to different CRs during the day
@scottleibrand yes re UAM
True about predictions to go low.
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Dec 15 2017 22:52
so you're saying it does predict such lows? does BG end up dropping like that, or does it always come in higher than predicted?
Paul Dickens
@thebookins
Dec 15 2017 22:54
It tends to come in higher than predicted. It's just a vibe, but I'd like it to be just a little less inclined to zero temp. That's why I'm wondering if the adaptive carb absorption might be decaying the carbs a little quicker than in reality.
(Of course, there are occasions when I'm thankful for the zero temp when a low is averted.)
(Kid seems to be highly variable at breakfast re insulin needs.)

Just looking at NS now, carbs of 50ish were almost completely decayed in 1 hour. That would be on the fast side yeah? Any setting to place an upper limit on absorption rate? Or am I misunderstanding the algorithm design?
