@bcadre I did not make any changes. I have a rig that has been working for years, and all of a sudden I ran into these network issues and I couldn't resolve them.

I let it run overnight (it was at my office) and it self healed.

I suspect there may have been some network issues at the office,

Hi there. I get this error in my pump tailing log: "Checking deliverAt: null is within 1m of current time: Fri Dec 22 18:26:44 EDT 2017

@selin08 the deliverAt: null makes it seem like the rig can't fetch the pump history from the pump. How does mmtune look? grep mmtune /var/log/openaps/pump-loop.log

Hey! We just got a new phone (Samsung A5). We are trying to use the phone to BT tether our OpenAPS Rig (edison + explorer board). We use the little diy xdrip box and xdrip+ app on the phone. Buuuut our phone does not have that option - it allows USB tethering and wifi hotspot - no BT tethering. Is there a way of getting around this? We are going to do some offshore sailing in the spring and we will need a way to loop offline. Thank you!!!!

@divishinating yes, I hear you on the A5 and not having bluetooth tethering. Some carriers, yours and mine for sure, don't allow BT tethering for unknown reasons. The hassle with wifi tethering, which works well, is that you have to remember to toggle it on/off when you go outside of your usual wifi location which your rig connects to and your phone will run thru its battery fairly quickly. There is an option to 'root' your phone (search youtube; lots of how-tos there) which should remove the carrier-control of BT tethering. I am going to let my samsung warranty expire and then do the rooting. I have not confirmed with anyone that this method work 100% so use this info with caution but the research seems to suggest rooting is the only way to unlock BT tethering.

Hey guys, I'm having some trouble with my setup. I got a bunch of segfaults yesterday so I figured I'd do a clean install on a new SD card. Running raspbian jessie and oref0 0.6.0.
It seems like monitor/iob.json is never getting populated, causing the basal calculations to error.

pump-loop.log keeps giving me Warning: clock input Invalid Date is unzoned; please pass clock-zoned.json instead, but I don't think that's the cause.
I get the following when I manually execute the commands in the pump-loop alias: Could not parse input data: [SyntaxError: /home/pi/myopenaps/monitor/iob.json: Unexpected end of input]

It seems like data is being uploaded to nightscout fine, but I don't get any basal adjustments or openaps forecasts

question for people who are offline looping with a dexcom receiver, rig and pump (no phone) and SMB. I guess the way you're bolusing is to enter the number of carbs into bolus wizard, a reduced number of units and then letting the SMB take over? It's crazy but I haven't use bolus wizard in ages (only use IFTTT carb buttons) but without a phone I don't think there's any other approach correct?

whacky idea - you get a BG check significantly off from CGM value - maybe have an optional way of using that number -as if it were a calibration- to make synthetic estimated CGM values? - especially because you’re not supposed to calibrate on a slope …

@danamlewis so if a52 is set to false and I'm offline looping (dexom receiver/eb/edison) and enter carbs via BW with a minimum'd bolus will SMB fxn as it should? My main "want" is to have SMB function as it should ... not 100% sure if that's what a52 does/doesn't do

If you would like help troubleshooting, please paste logs.
@cameronrenwick no. If you want SMB offline and want to also enter carbs through wizard offline, you'll need to enable the a52 risk acknowledgement
If you're planning to do small bolus for carbs w BW, a52 is less of a big deal. It's a bigger safety risk if you bonk a big meal bolus and you lose history of that bolus
Your perception of risk and YDMV too

@divishinating I intend to root my phone in Feb (when the warranty expires) so I'll post about it when I do. From what I've read, if you can find the same phone on another carrier that does allow BT tethering (and I believe that to be the case for our phones) then rooting it will unlock the restriction that the carrier has placed on it.
