Careportal question: is there any way to cancel the meal part of a meal bolus? After bolusing, my bg just kept rising, so I never got around to eating the meal part… (changed katheter instead, and tested Keton. wait. There’s no way to log blood ketons?)
Right now I keep postponing the meal part into the furure, but the bolus part is more than 4 hours away, and I doubt I’ll ever eat it - at least not in relation with the bolus that was intended to go with it :)

@th122 if you entered carbs via care portal, yes you can delete them via treatments. you can't delete the bolus because you can't remove that insulin from your body, either

I entered the carbs as part of a meal bolus, and when the bg kept rising, I used the move-treatment-in-time feature to move the meal part away from the bolus. It got entered through the 600series uploader. How can I delete it?
(strange insulin I got there, As if changing the battery of the pump converted insulin to glucagon <g> Weird coincidence)

did the carbs get entered on the pump with the bolus? if so, those can't be moved. (well, shouldn't - it'll re-upload the original carb entry, and start creating duplicate carb entries at the new time).

yes, that’s how I entered it. That would aggravate things even more. If that happens, that weird himalaya formation might even make sense. There were no carbs involved, however… Makes me wonder if it would make sense to enter negative carbs (not every food eaten makes it all the way, sometimes ingestion just take a different direction)

Hi all, is there instructions (differen) for reflashing the rig or is it just the normal flashing instructions that you do again?

if you have to start over from scratch, you use the same instructions to flash regardless of what's currently on it.

ok great. I tried/failed, and found the error in the troubleshooting, but not how to fix it?
a) If you get:

dfu-util: Device has DFU interface, but has no DFU functional descriptor
dfu-util: Cannot open DFU device 8087:0a99
that likely means you ran ./flashall.sh without sudo.

How do I run flashall.bat using sudo?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand

sudo is only for unix-based systems
if you're using flashall.bat you're on a PC which doesn't use sudo

i thought so, hm, ok so thats not the reason its coming up with that DFU device error

any ideas why openaps-use tz select --date dateString --current now --gaps - monitor/glucose.json would be using a lot of CPU resources now to the point the Edison rig is running hot?

not really. does a reboot fix it?

no, reboot didn't fix it.

any pointers to where I can find the code it's running for the tz command?
nm. I think I found it.

/usr/bin/nightscout lsgaps tz entries was producing a LOT of missings BG reads because they were just slightly over 5 minutes apart. Changing the test to 6 minutes instead of 5 seems to have resolved my heat issue.
Any reason it cannot be set to 6 minutes?

anyone know why setting my tz one recently flashed rig would return 1/1/2000 as time/date (and if its an issue).. and also how I install oref after reflashing as I'm going around in circles with different help pages and not finding the right command
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Jan 31 2018 07:15
the Edison doesn't have a battery-powered clock, so it goes back to 1/1/2000 @ midnight UTC whenever it loses power
once it gets online and can talk to NTP servers it updates its time
what command (on what page) was the last thing you ran?
prior to that it was about flashing rig
But i recalled when I first setup the issue i had with a 192.168.2 router versus edison issue, so I've just changed interfaces and rebooted to try again
that block text wont get past the steps after setting up wifi
oh changing that seemed to take me further

Good morning, i had a cortisone shot yesterday and big surprise my BG is high. I think I will be battling high resistance for the next 3-4 days or so. If I change the autosens value in my pref from to over 1.2 on the 1.0 max side to say 2.0 I will be letting autosense move the underlying nasals higher by on that case to double them if needed right rather than just the 20% allowed? If I move it to 1 it would default to the current basal on the high side? Thanks for confirmation whether my thinking is correct.
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
Jan 31 2018 16:25
Yes: if you change the autosens multiplier, that's how that number will be used (for both basals and isf)

one more Q - sometime in the past found an online graph calculator / response generation tool that would allow you to set initial BG, input CHO @ some time, make assumptions of insulin delivery (also settable by time) and would show possible response curves. Could drag a slider around to adjust each of the settings. Can't seem to find it. (Even w/all my google fu skillz). Any ideas?
