Wondering if there is a good 'summary' reference in the OpenAPS documentation (or anywhere else) regarding migration from 0.5.x to 0.6.x? I have read the release note (https://github.com/openaps/oref0/releases) but this doesn't seem to be comprehensive enough. It seems like 0.5.x and 0.6.x, in the current documentation, is mostly comingled and written more for someone just starting versus migrating from 0.5.x to 0.6.x. I still have my son on 0.5.x (since last summer) and have been running 0.6.0 on a test rig for several weeks but have yet to migrate him. As I re-read through the OpenAPS docs again, I'm attempting to understand the list of changes that we need to consider, modifications that will need to be made to preferences and other settings, etc., re-training for my son on what he needs to do differently than with 0.5.x, etc.

This is a pretty major migration with significant changes that are net new and require both technical and behavior changes. Thanks in advance for any help here.

Evening all. Wondering if you all can help me troubleshoot. My daughter's rig appears to be looping but the Nightspot display is not updating the pump pill or OpenAPS pill. Here is a recent loop:

Hi all, am still having issues getting rig working outside the house, due to bt not starting and not connecting.. at a completely dead end and not sure what to do next.. has anyone had this issue and been able to resolve please?
@spaldings I had an issue with NS not displaying what was happening, but once I ran the repairDatabase on the mlab database this seemed to resolve that..

@coolestkidsever thanks deleting the device status database now through NS admin page. will see if that helps
@coolestkidsever. we had a very hard time with that until we upgraded to iPhone 8 with new version of BT. At same time we built a new rig and updated the oref1 to most recent version. Since then not a problem.

@spaldings we're still on oref0 (latest version tho) as son's basal's too small (warned against).. It used to work but I just cant get it going. Rebuilt the rig but can only get BT running if I start it from putty, but then it doesn't stay connected :-(

@cbrenner the 0.6.0 release notes are the best notes on the differences - and yes, they're now integrated into the docs. please ask Qs if there's any specifics you're unsure of when comparing. the main behavior difference is removing bolus snooze, so the biggest change most people are making from 0.5.x to 0.6.x is to up their maxIOB

@cbrenner
Feb 08 2018 04:28
@danamlewis Thanks. Yes, made a note on the maxIOB. Any other suggestions, tips, etc. on migrating to avoid common issues people have faced when making the move from 0.5.x. to 0.6.0?

@danamlewis okay. We are planning on moving to Fiasp but will likely phase that in sometime later after he/we get used to the new 0.6.0 features. Like to avoid too many variables with the migration. I'm guessing Fiasp will add some additional re-learning

OK, so I learned not to take my rig sailboat racing... I crushed my case (which i think saved the edison/explorer from damage) and put a nasty gash along the front of my pump, right through one of the buttons. I'm pretty sure I got some salt water in there and I'm getting a button error message on the pump (which I can't clear). The question is, Can I lift the button cover material and fire some electrical contact cleaner in there? or will that make it worse? It's received the blow dryer treatment, but is not responding.

Does anyone know how to fix an A35 error on a 554 Veo pump? The pump cannot rewind anymore. The motor does make a sound for a second when rewinding but the A35 error comes back.

@dcacklam I have the same setup as you with Rpi Zero WH and SRF. I'm using Oref0 master version and see loop times between 5-7 minutes. Could you please share any experience you have on reducing the execution times?

@JakePunshon I've had good luck clearing water related button errors by covering the pump in dry white rice for a few hours. Same trick people use to dry out a wet phone. Good luck!

Feb 08 2018 15:03
@JakePunshon I did the rice thing too, but if it does not work, you may want to peel the plastic cover off and clean the contacts manualy. I did that with one of my pumps and the only issue is reattaching the plastic cover. The switches are the cheapest you can have.

drop.tiff
getting lots of drops on looping (see gaps on the basal insulin graph). Trying to identify root causes. Yes, I will have to look at logs. But - is there a way to overlay points or something on the nightscout graph showing when loop is on vs off, or easily get it through the api? (or what should I be looking for in logs?)

Is anyone @here looking for an Edison+Explorer Board? I haven't been able to nail down a compatible pump, and I plan on going the AAPS + Combo route now so I don't really have a good use for it. PM me if you're interested.
