Question... Is there an easy way to increase MaxBolus?
I've increased the time of "maxSMBBasalMinutes", but nothing changes & my rig still thinks it has a maxbolus of .3

@dcacklam maybe a silly question, but have you rebooted since you made the change to your preferences.json? I know it should pick it up, but you know... when in doubt power cycle

Is it reseting your file or just not increasing the max bolus in practice?

Max bolus is a setting on your pump.

On the pump it's set to 20. In OpenAPS it's .3
(No, I don't actually want to go that high in OpenAPS.. Looking to let it go a little higher (Still below 1) for SMB

@ToreBj
I'm on 0.61dev & have been committing some PRs to reduce the execution times...

Essentially, the low-hanging fruit is to fix the pump-clock comparison routine (PRed, accepted & being merged into Dev), and I am working on another fix that reduces the number of times 'openaps-report invoke settings/model.json' is called (during preflight, etc)...

openaps calls are what really bog it down...

I have also turned my GPU memory down to 1mb, overclocked to 1100 and overvolted to 4. Stability may vary with OCing, just like it does in desktop world.

Finally, make sure you do a rpi-update & have the latest pi firmware on your zero W
@phoenixflame611 Run 'service ssh status' via serial console. What does it say?

Anyone know if there would be any issues running EXB/Edison at 4.2v instead of 3.7?
Dave Acklam
@dcacklam
Feb 14 2018 15:04
4.2v is the normal charging voltage of a '3.7v' lipo battery.....

@scottleibrand figured out the answer to my maxBolus question.... determine-basal.js has maxBolus hardcoded at 30min of current basal if COB is less than IOB. When relying on UAM, COB is 0...
I've modified that check temporarily to only trigger if UAM is off... For a more permanent fix, I would suggest that if UAM is active, the preferences.json time should be used instead of 30s

@tim2000s safe VSYS range for Edison is 3.15 to 4.5V so it should be fine

if I'm running more than one rig (i.e. one plugged in by my bed overnight and one during the day with a battery) will my autotune data on either rig be complete? (and therefore recommendations based on a full day)
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis

Yes because Autotune pulls from NS

@dcacklam the reason for the 30m limit is to prevent an overdose from a sudden rise that’s not from a large meal. So for example a small fast carb correction, or an adrenaline spike, or any number of other random things.

@ecc1 - thanks. Bigger issue was the current available on what I was looking at. Only 20mA.
