Something I realized about bolusing via pump wizard - the size of meal boluses should probably be adjusted based on autosens sensitivity ratio, but a bolus done by entering carbs in the pump wizard won't do that.
OpenAPS follows up after a pull-wizard bolus with SMBs or temps, but if sensitivity is high and you have a large meal, zero temping might not be enough to compensate

Carb ratio is not variant based on sensitivity
Isf is, which is what autosens adjusts for (and basals)
James Babcock
@jimrandomh
Apr 22 2018 00:41
Biologically speaking, should it be?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Apr 22 2018 01:38
Carb ratio is not really a single thing, physiologically.
You really have a carb sensitivity factor (mg/dL rise per g of carbs), and ISF
And autosens doesn’t measure either of those: it mostly measures changes in basal glucose needs.
Practically speaking, we’ve observed that it makes sense to adjust CR for manual activity modes (as activity uses up the carbs faster, resulting in less total rise per g), but that autosens adjustments of basal by adjusting sensitivityRatio do not predict linearly correlated changes in CR.

Hello all, have recently set up SO's rig and successfully looped. Using an EDI2.SPOF and Explorer Block v1.3. However, I cannot get it to join any WiFi network other than an iPhone hotspot.
In the logs I'm seeing failed attempts for several of my APs:
Trying to associate with XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX (SSID='XXXXXX' freq=2437 MHz)
CTRL-EVENT-SSID-TEMP-DISABLED id=2 ssid="XXXXXXX" auth_failures=1 duration=10 reason=CONN_FAILED
If I turn on the phone, no problem:
Trying to associate with YY:YY:YY:YY:YY:YY (SSID='YYYY' freq=2412 MHz)
Associated with YY:YY:YY:YY:YY:YY
WPA: Key negotiation completed with YY:YY:YY:YY:YY:YY [PTK=CCMP GTK=CCMP]
CTRL-EVENT-CONNECTED - Connection to YY:YY:YY:YY:YY:YY completed [id=3 id_str=]
Any ideas out there?

Watch out for minor variations in syntax in that file (such as extra spaces), "smart quotes" and non-ASCII characters

Does anyone have any experience with the graph and SGV value on the rig's web server being screwed up? The loop is working great, everything in Nightscout looks great, but then the rig delivers this:

The problem is that /root/myopenaps/settings/profile.json (which you have to hand-edit on some pump types) is either missing, or has a syntax error such as mismatched quotes or curly braces

so what's happening is that there's some data that openaps doesn't have from your pump, and it's not generating a profile
but you can go through each of the parts that go into profile.json, to see which one is not working

Jon Cluck
@cluckj

to make a profile.json, openaps needs a whole bunch of files: settings/model.json settings/bg_targets_raw.json settings/bg_targets.json settings/insulin_sensitivities_raw.json settings/insulin_sensitivities.json settings/basal_profile.json settings/settings.json settings/carb_ratios.json
with a 722, all of those will come from the pump

raise CommsException("No acknowledgement from pump on wakeup. Is it out of range or is the battery too low?")
mmeowlink.exceptions.CommsException: No acknowledgement from pump on wakeup. Is it out of range or is the battery too low?
could there be a setting in the pump causing this?

probably not
you can keep doing the use pump model over and over again until it gives you a positive result (to wake the pump up), then follow it up with the report invoke that you need

Not an openaps environment, run: openaps init
when I run the openaps us pump model

I'm looking up the command :)
I think it's openaps report invoke monitor/mmtune.json
I haven't used master in a long long time

It has data in the settings file now
It is working now even when there is a bigger separation between the rig and the pump!
