Has anyone heard from enhanced radio devices, it has been 2 weeks since I sent my email about my radio board and no reply. Not exactly installing confidence buying things through a supplier who doesnt reply to customers.

On another subject, I have been looking at the openaps code, what is aCOB, there doesn't seem to be anything in the docs about it.....

We stopped using aCOB (accelerated) as a prediction line in 0.6.0

oh OK, what about values? is that a debug prediction line?

I am cross comparing what NS is looking for from openAPS.....: https://github.com/nightscout/cgm-remote-monitor/blob/dev/lib/plugins/openaps.js#L346

I think "values" in that context means an array without a name, which is probably left over from when we only had a single array before we renamed that to IOB and added COB
IOW I don't think we've used that little code path for years

Hi, can anyone please help me explaining what is the purpose of tem_basal.json and how it is updated. I appreciate your help.

The temp_basal.json reflects the currently running temp basal on the pump. You can read the oref0-pump-loop.sh code to see all the ways it is used.
Or just watch the pump-loop.log

this looks super complicated.
I am a bit intimidated.

@NoKindOfSusie what part looks intimidating? you don't have to understand it all up front, just have to be willing to ask questions and learn as you go.

I have a question. I am going on a plane trip monday and I tried to use bluetooth for an offline loop. Everything seemed correct and it was working. I lost the bluetooth connection and after reconnecting it I got an error in xdrip saying "Unable to do REST API UPLOAD: INTERNAL SERVER ERROR url: http://<nightscout_api_secret>@<rig_ip_address>:5000/api/v1/ Marking record failed. After restarting my bluetooth it still gave that error and mostly said it wasn't working but on NS it seemed to be working.

Got someone up and looping today (Edison board) but have run into an issue with BT. Have followed directions in docs but we can't get the rig to broadcast a BT signal. We see that it is discoverable with agent but we have 'looked' for the BT signal with multiple phones and no luck. We have tried restarting rig and connecting directly to power. Any thoughts or suggestions?

when you say "we see that it is discoverable with agent" what does that mean?
what does "hciconfig" print when run on the rig?

via linux we can see code which looks like it is broadcasting
Eric

still don't understand what "we can see code" means

OK, that looks fine. If you do "scan on" in bluetootctrl, do you see your other BT devices like phone, etc.? (You might have to open their BT settings to make them discoverable).

yes
Eric
@ecc1
Apr 28 2018 23:13
But when you do "discoverable on", you don't see on those other devices?
You might have to enter the "pair device" dialog on your phone, say, to see your rig

@spaldings
Apr 28 2018 23:15
@ecc1 yes - when we run "discoverable on" we do see other devices. The screen shot above shows the results of following the instructions in the docs

our phones can't 'see' the rig to pair
Eric
@ecc1
Apr 28 2018 23:17
you can try initiating the pairing from within "bluetoothctl", using the "pair xxxxx" command (xxxx = phone's name or bt address; tab completion works)
spaldings
@spaldings
Apr 28 2018 23:17
phone is near the rig and rig is connected to power. so I don't think its a power or signal being blocked.
whats 'tab completion works'
Eric
@ecc1
Apr 28 2018 23:18
just type the first few digits of the BT address and hit the tab key; it will fill out the rest if it knows it

@spaldings
Apr 28 2018 23:20
we get the confirm passkey on the linux screen but the phone doesn't recognize the rig
its an iPhone 10 but we have tried with an iPhone 6
have tried restarting phone and shutting off BT then turning back on
