remotely updated 0.6.0 to 0.6.1 but not coming back after reboot. failing over to other nearby 0.6.0 spares once they are powered up. root cause not yet analyzed.

@danamlewis dumb question - E. is loving the soft cases w clear plastic that you recommend. But we’re gettin HOT Edisons while charging. Do you take yours out of your case to charge? (Obvious question...)

The error @mhaeberli reported is pallets/jinja#643 . Long-term solution for this category of problem is version-pinning all dependencies.
@mhaeberli Does the local status-view webserver work? The error you got is likely to have broken that in particular

Hello,
Am new here and am in process of trying to setup openaps. In official documentation chapter Installing openaps on your rig I have completed steps 1-4.
Whenever I continue to step 5 the rig (intel Edison) keeps coming back with error: Rebooting to fix radio errors! Am not a programmer and have no idea on how to fix this.\

Rebooting to fix radio errors!
The system is going down for reboot at Sat 2000-01-01 01:12:01 CET!
Have already tried to change date and time but no success. Help would be appreciated!

@jimrandomh i don’t know whether local status-view webserver works. haven’t been using it but have been THINKING of using it. Will revert when I get a chance, but likely a week or so.
@DennisKampschreur one thought is to look at the troubleshooting steps and flash / reflash the Explorer radio using cctool. gitter back if I need to send you a link
in the old days at least, new Explorers shipped without their radios flashed for OpenAPS ...

@connormilton I have a Fenix 5x and it's great, there is a very good looping app called cgmloop which you can view all looping data while you are out on the move...

what do the blinking LED's mean on 0.7.0?
looks cool
Tim Gunn
@Tornado-Tim
May 12 2018 21:58
Yes I noticed that too, pritty cool eh :) It whens Openaps is communicating with the Pump via the radio board, green is receiving data, red is transmitting data i believe ;)

@garykidd
May 12 2018 21:58
hmmm...1 rig blinks yellow red...while other blinks red red
i like it
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
May 12 2018 22:08
Nope, they’re not transmit and receive.
If you watch the logs, you’ll probably only see them blink when it’s doing the wait for silence .....
I believe they blink when it resets the cc1110, which now happens on every wait for silence and mmtune

are the different colors just different colors because they are different colors on boards---or do you know if there is significance to the actual color
looks like they also blink while listening

wondering if its worth developing signals/patters for certain things...i guess the display on the pi hats may go a lot further and lot more directly at such signaling though...

If there were an API for controlling the LED directly, I'd probably make it green for loop completed in past 5 min, red otherwise. But I'm not sure there is such an API.
Tim Gunn
@Tornado-Tim
May 12 2018 22:32
That would be fantastic for edison rigs to get a simple status on what the loop status is
Scott Leibrand

They can be controlled, but it’s done at a pretty low level inside the subg_rfspy firmware code IIRC. each LED is a single color.
