does anyone know what the dexcom glucose values are that signal "LO" and "HI"? (e.g., are they 1 and 401, or ?)
and what does openaps do with values like that? e.g., would it zero temp on LO?

@tynbendad 39 and 401
below about 60 (depending on target), oref0 goes into LGS mode unless BG is rising faster than expected from insulin activity. so if the CGM is reading LOW (39), it will always zero temp.
@drmartinezs is this a new rig? has it ever worked? looks like it's not installed quite right...

@tynbendad - generally, in my experience, (at least in the old days) ALL new Explorer boards (new from the factory, that is) needed their radios flashed. I suspect this is still the case, in part, because the use case for the Explorer is broader than OpenAPS, and those other use cases likely will need other radio programming.
@scottleibrand by ‘regression’ I mean - ruling out that 0.6.1 has gone backwards ‘regression testing’. Didn’t think it had. It was my way (not intended to be negative) of saying, “0.6.1 Looks Good To Me - based on limited production use"

Question: The runagain script, if I just change the BT mac address at the end leaving the other options alone, this should allow me to update the mac for a new phone yes? Does using this runagain script have any other impacts, such as wiping out/modifying autosens?
James Babcock
@jimrandomh
May 14 2018 14:47
Autosens shouldn't be affected. You'll stop looping until oref0-runagain is finished, and if you've made any changes to preferences.json they may be reset to defaults (a file preferences.json.bak will be created)

Hi! Working with oref0 and couple of days now Nightscout is not showing any bg values. It shows the rig activity, like temp basals, boluses and even alerts (other than bg related ones). Today I decided, that ok, it's not just fixing by itself. I first just deleted a few future entries, that weren't actually in the future. I tried compacting the mlab db once again, but it was pretty tight packed before already, so I then ended up deleting the data. (Yes, I donated a few weeks ago). No change in NS. I checked the pump and the rig clocks. They are ok. I rebooted the rig. Still no bg values in NS. What next? Any hints anyone?

I asked a question a few weeks ago on the Looped FB page regarding "clock adjustments" on the pump. Didn't get a response...either because it was overlooked or someone didn't know the answer. In any case... The reason I asked was because we were without a g4 transmitter for a few days as it was on order. So we weren't able to loop with openAps or even see my son's nubmers while he was at school. We have been using autotune and have had fairly good success when looping. So my question was would the clock delay affect when the basals were changed in the pump (hour by hour). His numbers were way out of range for the few days without looping. Any one have any input?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
May 14 2018 23:38
I'm having trouble understanding your question
what "clock adjustments" and "clock delay" are you talking about?
jquitos
@jquitos
May 14 2018 23:38
@scottleibrand my question?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
May 14 2018 23:39
yes
jquitos
@jquitos
May 14 2018 23:40
When looking at either the NS site or during the loop I notice that there are "time adjustments"... as if the pump clock was off and openAPS corrects the time on the pump. Would that affect when basals are changed on the pump?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
May 14 2018 23:45
"time adjustment" is not a term we use for that
if OpenAPS fixes an incorrect pump clock, it will show up as "Change Time" or "New Time Set"
normally pump clocks only drift by a few minutes, which wouldn't affect basals much
jquitos
@jquitos
May 14 2018 23:49
ok...my bad...I didn't know the exact terms that were used... was kind of off the top of my head. In any case...so not utilizing openAPS for several days without the rig "setting a new time" would not be that significant a difference for basals?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
May 14 2018 23:51
Why are you looking at NS to figure this out? Is the pump clock correct or not?
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
May 14 2018 23:53
@jquitos no. If you're not looping, you fall back to your basal profile. It sounds like you might want to adjust the basal profile on your pump to match Autotune if you haven't already.
jquitos
@jquitos
May 14 2018 23:53
I was asking because I noticed that he was so out of range when he wasn't looping that I thought that maybe his basal rates were not changing due to the clock not being correct. We had no way to monitor due to no dexcom and only through finger pricks. I noticed on the NS site the little gray indicator staing "new time set".
I had examples a few weeks ago when the carbs that he entered in the pump were only 1-2 hours apart when they were actually 3-4 hours apart.
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
May 14 2018 23:56
Look at the clock on the pump display. Is it off by more than a few minutes?
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
May 14 2018 23:57
@jquitos check and see what pump pattern you have running. You might have been on a different pattern than you thought.
(Basal pattern)
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
May 14 2018 23:57
If the clock drifts more than a couple minutes per hour, you might have a defective pump. I suspect it’s likely something else though.
jquitos
@jquitos
May 14 2018 23:58
@danamlewis basal pattern? Sorry... I'll have to look when my son is back with my range...we're at scouts and hes in a different room lol
@scottleibrand that's what I was wondering...
I suppose I could go to using our back up pump and run the normal pump by itself...just don't want to use the back up pump unless I have to
