Is there a recommended way to enter a syringe bolus so OpenAPS can model it? Because persistent high over 360-400 wasn’t coming down w SMB etc...

ok every time I pug in this edison it also says it is running something, but seems to be ok at the end... OK I am going to attempt to delete log files to resole that issue.... however i cant do it..
Here is what I used to check size "df -h" to remove files "rm -rf /var/log/* and to rebuild "mkdir -p /var/log/openaps
Eric

That screenshot indicates you just typed "mkdir -p"; you forgot the /var/log/openaps part.
Martin Haeberli

Jun 20 2018 03:32
@laurathiessen - from your screen shot - I would recommend:
mkdir -p /var/log
(because you have deleted the whole directory)
@ecc1 :+1:
by the way, you already have plenty of space - 303M is good
type ifconfig and show
(even better to copy/paste the screen - easier to see than a literal picture)
(following my own advice to you above)

a) ping 10.11.12.13 (I predict that fails) ; b ) ping 8.8.8.8
( i predict that fails, too). not clear WHY the usb interface is showing an IP address; but it’s kind of a bad sign that there is no ip address associated with wlan0
Eric
@ecc1
Jun 20 2018 03:41
I've seen problems like this happen if your wifi router happens to be configured to use the same IP subnet that the usb0 interface is configured for. Is the usb0 interface listed in /etc/network/interfaces? If so, try deleting that whole stanza.

Trying 0.7.0 -- and MUCH happier with clock and mmtune handling! My only problem -- BG readings are not making it from the pump to the rig! I'm seeing 'CGM Data from pump disrupted, retrying in 5 seconds' on every cycle, then 'No new MDT CGM data to reformat'. (Yes, my antennas seem to be unbroken and firmly attached, and my PCB trace is cut at 915.) Medtronic 722/Enlite, Edison/Explorer, 0.7.0 . Starting to wonder about the Explorer board at this point. Log extract is above. The log DID successfully report the pump status when it was bolusing. Ideas?

Martin Haeberli

@N3FM logically, if the pump data otherwise works, not clear why the CGM data (which I gather also flows through the pump) is not available.
Eric
@ecc1
Jun 20 2018 16:54
@mhaeberli the new Go code is reading the pump history, but Python code is reading the pump's CGM history. It wouldn't surprise me if they step on each other in some way that I don't understand yet

hi @scottleibrand , is there any flowchart of the determine basal algorithm that makes the code easy to understand. I am doing a research on implementing fault detection mechanism in insulin pump controller, I choose openAPS as my example system. I installed openAPS in my linux machine, I got it working. I appreciate if you help me out. Any flowchart or pseudo code would be very helpful. Thank you.

changed yesterday to ref 6.2. Had to redo the presences and also bt-tethering in the settings do to a typo during the set-up. After that my iPhones hotspot does not come on automatically outside the range of my wifi even if my iPhone is paired with the rig and they are bt connected. The only way to get the hotspot on is to log-in the rig and type "sudo bt-pan client AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF" which enables the hotspot and disconnects the iPhone from wifi. However, if I switch the BT off, the hotspot off or wifi connection on, and then reverse the operations, the hotspot does not reappear. It seems that I'll need to have it on always and keep the iPhone outside of the rigs range if I want to connect by wifi. Is there any a) explanation and b) cure for this?

@danamlewis
Jun 20 2018 17:10
@bahmedraaz no flow chart or pseudo code, but there is commenting in determine-basal that is helpful in evaluating it. You might also want to read the OpenAPS reference design, and also there is a glossary in the OpenAPS docs if that's helpful for interpreting things (or the search function in the docs for understanding various features)

@juehv , @mhaeberli , @ecc1 Thanks all! I'm kinda stuck -- no CGM data in 0.7.0, and clock/tune issues in 0.6.2 allow it to run for a while, then suddenly become inoperable for several hours. I'll give a +1 for Jens' patch...

Hello all. My daughter is off to camp in a just over a week. This year the camp is allowing closed loops, but the catch is she won't have her phone or ANY internet/network access. That's fine, and we can do offline looping with the Pi rig or one of her edison rigs, which we've done successfully for overnight camping, etc. She'll be at camp 3 weeks, and from recent testing when OpenAPS is more than a few minutes out of sync with the pump clock it will refresh ntp and reset the pump clock. Without network/ntp access for three weeks, is there a way to ensure continued looping if the clocks are off?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Jun 20 2018 23:50
You’ll need to test whether oref0-set-system-clock successfully sets rig time based on pump time after an offline power cycle.
Turn off your wifi and BT, unplug the rig battery, and connect a console cable to boot it up offline.
ericmtx
@ericmtx
Jun 20 2018 23:58
thanks, I'll take a look at that. Her Pi was a couple of hours off after a cold restart/no battery this past week during vacation. Offline looping didn't work on the airplane until I started a local wifi hotspot that gave connectivity and Putty/SSH access to the rig. I saw the time was off and attempting to refresh ntp, failing, and trying again. Manually reset the date on the Pi and that fixed it. I'll try the more controlled testing you suggest. Would you expect it the Pi to update itself on first boot?
Our should we plan to use the Edison instead (or does it matter)?
