just over a week. yep, that may be the best option. I'd just have to trust there wasn't drift of more than 55 seconds during the three weeks. hehe
OR, I may use the spare edison rig as that should keep the time

There are some improvements in 0.7.0-dev that might help if you want to try that on one rig.

if you had a previous 0.7.0-dev and do a git pull of the latest one, you'll probably need to do npm run global-install, but I don' t think you need to re-run oref0-setup unless you're trying to help test out the refactor stuff we just merged

good thank you
what is the refactor . i would like to help

lots of stuff was changed to move things around and make the code simpler and easier to work with. theoretically nothing much should have changed from a functionality perspective, but so much was moved that there are likely a few things different. you can re-run oref0-setup using oref0-runagain, and/or run it interactively, to make sure it still works properly with your combination of devices

ok. on my second rig I ran the oref0-setup with 0.7.0. I will test it out.

@ericmtx @scottleibrand there's a fake-hwclock package installed by default in Raspbian that writes the time to a file and restores it from that on boot, figuring that's better than nothing, but in our case I don't think it is. So purge that package and you should get the "fall back to 1999" behavior when offline, I think
ericmtx
@ericmtx
Jun 22 2018 01:25
perfect that makes sense
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Jun 22 2018 01:25
I don't think fake-hwclock matters
the logic is not "is it 1999" but "have we ever had NTP sync'd since we booted"

When oref0-set-system-clock gets run by oref0-pump-loop, what directory does it run from? Manually running it, it only runs from the myopenaps directory.

My trusty 522 (used for years) is acting up a little. Every so often, I go to use it and the screen is blank, but pressing any buttons leads the screen to come back on, and it works fine. Has anyone ever had this screen issue?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Jun 22 2018 03:44
@dramageek you should be able to see that from crontab: pretty sure oref0-pump-loop itself runs from ~/myopenaps

Great step forward for me ! I got my rig running and communication with my 722 pump (not injecting insulin, not plugged to me). In the rig logs, I can tell that it's getting some BG measurements. In NS, I see that the basal has many changes ... but ... I see not BG in NS. I get the calibrations but no CGM measurements. I will reread the doc to find out if I did something wrong in NS or the rig settings. I'm so excited !

@JohnDoeAkira what type of CGM?
JohnDoeAkira

Jun 22 2018 14:48
@danamlewis Hi Dana, I have enlite sensors + edison with explorer board. NS gets the calibration correctly. Also the basal rates are displayed correctly ... but the BGs are missing. I will explore the edison logs tonight when I get home.

I just had my 6 month visit to mt Endo. It went awesome i was at a 5.9% A1C with a 40 mg/ dl deviation. He gave me 2 vials of Fiasp to try, which seems to working very well. I did all the adjustment in the preferences.json. It definitely seems to act different then the humalog. Anyways i run everyday at least 3 miles (10 miles once a week). Im trying to understand excersice mode in preferences . Is that a field i can leave on or do i have to switch it every time i excersice . Once i get my Pi-HAT rolling i will definetly set temp targets. Right now i use sports gels to run.

@peterfulvi the setting in preferences.json stays enabled. It only does anything when you set a high temp target.

@JohnDoeAkira follow @juehv suggestion above - openaps first-upload will solve your display issues. you can run it on your rig anytime and that'll get BGs uploading again to NS

I have noticed the something I am not sure if any faces this or only me... my kids takes almost 20-70 mins to finish his meal depending on his mood ... what u do us that once he finishes 50% of his meal I would give him 50% of the of the suggested insulin using the carb only ( no BG is entered) in the Wizard. And once he is almost close to finish his 2nd part of the meal I would enter the remaining part of the carbs via the pump Wizard ... here is what I have noticed in some times the Openaps doesn’t notice the 2nd portion of the carb and/or the insulin delivered ... any suggestions why is this happening ?
Correction: What I do that once

Sometimes I correct the IOB I enter it manually via NS
And the carbs also

Jun 22 2018 18:51
@marafie OpenAPS will not use IOB entered into NS
it sounds like OpenAPS may be de-duping the second bolus wizard. I would try doing slightly more or less than 50% so the bolus/carbs aren't identical entries

@juehv @danamlewis I apologize in advance for the silly question, but where am I supposed to run this openaps first-upload
When I run it at the root directory on the edison (after ssh login) I get an error : Not an openaps environment, run: openaps init
OK this was an silly question, I had to go to the myopenaps directory. It works now , I have my BG in NS !!
I don't trust myself (and my settings) to plug in the pump right now but I am playing a bit with it for now.

It does recieve the BG and the loop is working, I get high basal rate when my BG is higher. Of course the algo gets a bit crazy since the pump is not plugged but it seem to work ... and I also need to see the pump work for some days to get confident to use it for real (second hand pump ... )

A question for the pebble watch users (especially the pancreabble users but also the NS ones) : Are all pebble models equally usable or only the original rectangular shaped pebble ?

The Time models (round face) are less capable. All the square faces are equivalent.
