I have a ww pump, put the right ww into installation. But it is still only scanning on 915 freq. How can i adjust this?
mmtune: "916.600", 0, -128 -- "916.650", 0, -128 waiting for 90 second silence before continuing

you'll need to put radio_locale=WW in ~/myopenaps/pump.ini and change the contents of ~/myopenaps/monitor/medtronic_frequency.ini to 868400000
MarvelousMarvin
@MarvelousMarvin

I just put in
radio_locale=WW into the.

But Medtronic freq was already 868 4000 00

@diabetic_dude_twitter Thanks for offering. I missed a notification from this. I setup a hotspot in my room that is password protected. I am torn on the Pi Hat. I would probably go back to the edison if I didn't give it to my dad. Find the range to be further on Edison/explorer

^^ if anyone would like to review that, I think we can get it (and the rest of misc-stuff) merged to dev very shortly to mitigate the potential for bolus wizard pump history race conditions to affect dosing
lyntonr
@lyntonr
Aug 15 2018 03:59
That sounds like a good idea. I have to say I'm a little unnerved by this, after all reliable pump comms are critical. @scottleibrand do you think it's JUST bolus wizard readings ? Perhaps it's better to just not use the bolus wizard at all ?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Aug 15 2018 04:07
bolus wizard records are the only ones that combine both carb and bolus information, so they're the only ones where it's possible to refresh the record before it's completely written and then think we have the whole thing. generally it's best not to use the bolus wizard if you can avoid it, as doing so also presents a risk of A52 errors with SMB
fortunately with a full refresh after nearly every enact or bolus, the window in which dosing can be based on incorrect history will be very short, so it shouldn't have any trouble recovering on its own with a zero temp if this happens again with the updated code
if you'd like me to go ahead and merge it to dev for your testing, please comment on the issue

Dev 0.7.0, cgm xdrip. If no internet, xDrip+ can't upload BG data to NS, but successfully upload directly to the rig. As result - BG omissions in Nightscout. Why was it necessary to remove BG upload from the rig to NS?
This should be optional
philipgo
@philipgo
Aug 15 2018 10:12
@iValkou That is no problem, simply enter both Nightscout and your rig as RestAPI upload destinations in xDrip+ and xDrip will upload all CGM values to NS once there is internet coverage again
iValkou
@iValkou
Aug 15 2018 10:15
@philipgo no, xDrip+ successfully uploaded entries to the local ip, and will not retry upload this entries to NS again
philipgo
@philipgo
Aug 15 2018 10:55
@iValkou Then this would be a change in x Drip+, we have been using this configuration successfully for some time (online looping at the moment, though). Maybe you could raise an issue with @jamorham OpenAPS upload for xdripAPS was „lost“ in some update and nobody fixed it since xDrip+ did the job perfectly
iValkou
@iValkou
Aug 15 2018 11:01
i just added openaps upload-bg to cron
iValkou
@iValkou
Aug 15 2018 11:09
@philipgo I think xDrip+ works correctly. If entries was uploaded (to one of URLs), no need to reupload them to the other.
The problem in the logic of scenario using xDripAPS
iValkou
@iValkou
Aug 15 2018 11:19
I will try to make PR with an optional openaps upload-bg disabled by default
alimhassam
@alimhassam
Aug 15 2018 11:42
@iValkou the goal is to remove all the openaps python code
if we want to re-instate the upload-bg in dev, it could possibly be re-implemented in the new oref0-ns-loop which replaces the old openaps ns-loop.

Hi everybody, (its my first time visit). I'm trying to set up the edison board for openAPS. The initial script seems to fail after beeing connected to my wifi network. It says 'Wifi SSID: root@jubilinux:~#'. I assume that I need to enter my personal rig name, but all I tried so far lead to '~bash xxx: command not found' (where xxx stands for whatever I typed). I treid several times to run the scrupt again, always ending up where described. Any idea?

@alimhassam ok, I understood
philipgo

hi philipgo, thanks for your response. In the meantime I tried the script commands step by step. My problem came from the wlan router I was using. Using another WLAN (personal hotspot from my iPhone) solved the problem. The script apparently worked fine. Thanks again.

Having battery issues with my pi zero. Have a 6000mAh battery that won't work at all (shows as 270V in nightscout pill), and a 2000mAh that frequently dies after less then 1/2 hour when it was charging all night (but other times is ok for 1-2 hours or more). Screen is also dead. Wondering if I would be better off picking up one of the refurb edison? Is there any pro/con of using pi zero over edison? (other then the better battery life on the edison).
lyntonr
@lyntonr
Aug 15 2018 14:45
@wfeddern i had problems with charging and overheating and eventually a dead screen. ERD have now sent out a replacement for me . In my case the device appeared to start charging (ie charge light comes on briefly) and then would stop . I have a second board now , and this one works fine it charges fairly quickly. Does it get almost too hot to touch ? If so contact ERD and explain the symptoms. If its working properly the charge light should be permanently on when plugged in. Also you might want to try a good 2.4A charger some of the 1A or less ones won't work

@lyntonr we have to push this fix regardless for people who do use the bolus wizard. Is this something you can test in the meantime, before you switch ?
@wfeddern depends on how much you like having a screen and doing things on an sd card. If you don't care - an Edison rig is just as good

Help troubleshooting rig to NS info: Rig is online, size on disk is 240 MB, no future entries, OpenAPS pill reads 1m ago, but there are not any additional entries being made to "treatments" despite rig recognizing them so basal/bolus info isn't being rendered.

First there were problems (havend saved them) with i tink between pump and rig .. they couldnt find each other or similar, then i replaced the edison und flashed it newly and newly created oaps 0.6.2 on it, but now i think i am in a endless restart-look (sometimes not)... should i past logs here???
i think there is a wlan problem, but cant find it

howto open syslog file in windows texteditor notepad++
how will i get this file from putty com5 connection into my notepad++?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Aug 15 2018 21:45
you don't want to paste the whole file, just look through it for the relevant portions related to wifi
I don't see any complaints about the wpa_supplicant in what you pasted, but you might search for those
you might also try a different wifi network (maybe your phone hotspot) if you haven't already

how can i look into the file ... with cat syslog everything scrolles by i cant see the text and dont know how to search in file. how can i copy the text in file to my windows notepad++??
Scott Leibrand

less is usually the tool for paging and searching through a text file
without wifi you won't really be able to copy the file off

k, then I'd search syslog for wpa_supplicant to see why
you can use the / key to search in less
and n and N to go to the next or previous result, respectively

I'm not sure what you mean by "mmtune problems"
the rigs always mmtune any time they have trouble talking to the pump: do you just mean "pump comms problems followed by an mmtune"? or was it having a problem with the actual mmtune itself?

i removed every screw and the battery, cause i thought the screws could be the problem or so
hopefully the problems wont come back if i screw it back together

FWIW the retry 0 (Do you need to run 'export RFSPY_RTSCTS=0' first?) message was much more specific as to what the problem might have been, and Radio error found generally indicates a radio problem local to the rig.

ok .. i have often seen this RSPFSPY_RTSCTS lines as the problems started
so what is the problem with these lines? what was the reason for this lines / errors?
i think they could also indicate a hardware problem

@bryce2071 I'm not as familiar with when the RSPFSPY_RTSCTS lines should and shouldn't be present, as I think they're a WW-specific thing
same with all the RileyLink OK Version: subg_rfspy 0.8 SUCCESS stuff: none of that shows up in our config
