In short: Yes, it is possible to change the unit of measurement :)
As for the APS logs... digging.

Could've sworn there was a thing about it... not finding it at the moment.

@HuffCam There are other efforts looking (for example) at the medtronic and omnipod RF comms. the challenge currently (on medtronic) is the encryption they are using on the comms, lets just say it's improved over what it used to be. The omnipod is progressing nicely but much work remains before it is in a state where it's ready to release out for more general use. This si all try, observe, document type discovery.

@Deweyoxberg @adenis76 i'm pretty sure the openaps pill in ns becomes mmol once the bolus wizard setup is mmol on the pump settings. IF that's confirmed we might want to add a pr to documentation somewhere.

@scottleibrand would greatly appreciate your help. Running OpenAPS install script on Raspberry Pi and getting following error: "Collecting openaps
Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement openaps (from versions: )
No matching distribution found for openaps" -- tried doing fresh installs with new SD cards and still run into same error.

have you tried installing from oref0 dev?

I used "sudo bash
curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/openaps/oref0/dev/bin/openaps-install.sh > /tmp/openaps-install.sh && bash /tmp/openaps-install.sh" and ran into same issue.

is there any chance your Internet connection may be blocking access to https://pypi.org/project/openaps/ ?
oh, try bash /tmp/openaps-install.sh dev

it might die on the same command, but we'll see
if so it should print out Couldn't install openaps toolkit

It died. I think it just may be my internet connection blocking access.
You wouldn't happen to know the port?

@alimhassam I am try with bolus wizard from pump to see is it going to change units from mg to mmol in nightsout pill. That metod is not working.
@Deweyoxberg My nightscout already display units in mmol but pill from openaps showing results in mg. So I wont to say that heroku display unit is already in mmol.

@adenis76 I'm pretty sure the user_prefered_unit comes from the 'bg unit' setting in the 'boluswizard setup' of your pump
But it might take time or you might need to for the settings to be updated before it takes effect

@scottleibrand you saved my day !!!! I added dev and it worked ! Now I have the prompt for having cron or not .... What does it do ?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Oct 15 2018 14:33
Cron is the scheduler that makes it run automatically.

My intent is not to have a rig as such but to have oref0 on which I can use autotune with a script that runs on a weekly basis...
Dana Lewis

it schedules everything. and it also tells autotune to run nightly. you can edit the autotune section of cron to run weekly instead.

@sethgagnon, it looks like the setup script may not be properly handling the absence of a pre-existing preferences file. Try this and see if it works:

are there specific instrcutions for BT tethering for the piHAT
or can we follow edison steps
or if we ran the setup and provided the MAC address, are we all good?

@sethgagnon I think you just need to re-run the setup to install the backend utilities, then run the edison steps

network-manager also handles BT tethering well on RPi in my experience (nmcli from the command line). But it is "aggressive" about automatically connecting, which is fine on Android but apparently not on iPhone
