I'm new here, have been talking to Jon Cluck and others on the diabetes discord for a while. Yesterday I completed the setup of my first rig! I am using a pi0 and a RFM69 radio.

Hi, @TranceCake!
Does anyone know where I can look at the actual code for the autosens function?

Related question: Can I manually adjust the sensitivity factor other than changing it in Bolus Wizard?

Hi all. Is it possible to have a loop with sensors (Freestyle Libre in this case) in mmol/l and a pump in mg/dl (none of them can be changed apparently)
Or if there’s a way to change one of the two, that would also work. I haven’t found one 😖

@juanjuanmejias_twitter hm, have you looked at changing the display in NS? (I don’t know if it’s possible but I’m guessing NS would be the easiest place to change?)
Welcome @TranceCake!
@acember no (isf gets adjusted in bolus wizard settings, then picked up in next autotune run) unless you have some of the exercise setting modes enabled, which means a target adjusts your sens ratio manually which then adjusts isf as well.

Read the news release yesterday on the new FDA classification, ACE, allowing for interoperability with the Tandem pump. And making it now possible to communicate and receive dosing commands from other devices or AID's. Problem is no devices are listed or approved. Seems like this is step 1 to get to a faster authorization for the Tslim to close the loop by itself or with add-on devices. ... like our Rig. https://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm631412.htm

It’s unlikely they’ll make it possible to use with a non-regulated controller (eg rig). So yes, nice big step toward interoperable commercial devices & future choices. Little to zero impact expected for DIY, though

@ecc1 Maybe I'm being a spaz (and/or just not used to reading JS), but can you point out the lines that are doing the math here? Lines 105/106 or 110/111 which update the variable values look like they just come out of nowhere. Is detect(detection_inputs) the function that actually does something?

are you looking at the bin or lib?

thanks!
Isn't the impact for DYI that we have another compatible pump?

@TranceCake I guess it all depends whether the protocoll is available to the DIY community or not

ah Gocha
btw I'm a software engineer so I can see myself contributing somehow in the future when I feel comfortable enough with the whole system/code
it it's needed anyway

lots of stuff that needs doing: the real question will be what interests you once you get familiar with everything
