@acember are you using Fiasp yet? you can also play around with Eating Soon mode (enable https://openaps.readthedocs.io/en/latest/docs/While%20You%20Wait%20For%20Gear/preferences-and-safety-settings.html#low-temptarget-lowers-sensitivity and set a low target before the meal) if you want to safely get more insulin activity going earlier...

Any ideas as to why grep mmtune /var/log/openaps/pump-loop.log would return a list mmtune: i.e. why is the output of mmtune empty?
Scott Leibrand

like this?
mmtune:
waiting for 90 second silence before continuing
I get that quite a bit on dev when there is no signal received at all (what used to be -99 on the old mmtune in 0.6.x master)
whereas if there's borderline signal it gives:
mmtune: "916.550", 1, -91
waiting for 62 second silence before continuing
I'm not sure what changed about the mmtune output to make the grep come up empty if it reports all -128 and "usedDefault": true, but that's what it does now, and it hasn't bothered me enough to investigate
the actual mmtune output probably looks like this:
cat mmtune_old.json | jq -c
{"scanDetails":[["916.300",0,-128],["916.350",0,-128],["916.400",0,-128],["916.450",0,-128],["916.500",0,-128],["916.550",0,-128],["916.600",0,-128],["916.650",0,-128],["916.700",0,-128],["916.750",0,-128],["916.800",0,-128],["916.850",0,-128],["916.900",0,-128]],"setFreq":916.6,"usedDefault":true}

There's no signal and no reported radio error.

Check pump serial number first.
And make sure it’s configured properly for NA vs. WW.
If you have another rig, confirm it works from that one...

I've checked all that and it is fine.

anybody here who's run a Pi HAT installation using PiBakery lately want to comment on whether we need country code still included in the docs or not? openaps/docs#1301

@tepidjuice you can also swap Edisons and Explorer Boards between the two rigs to see which hardware the problem follows.

It's a pi hat which has the problem edison works fine.
Don't have a back up hat/pi0 to check with.
Would be good to know if it is a hardware problem.

@cluckj the battery is new, I've changed yesterday. Remote is in settings turned off, does it have to be on?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Feb 19 05:29
it doesn't have to be, but some people report the pump wakes up faster if it has a remote configured
I don't think we ever bothered, since we always have multiple rigs talking to the pump and never let it go to sleep

looking at logs for a rig which USED to connect to wifi where it is located now, and now is not

That wifi network didn’t work recently, so it’s given up cycling wifi to make it work.

so happily it’s paper trailing and on bluetooth
so would reboot help?

If that status file is in /tmp, that gets deleted on reboot.

And of course make sure the wifi isn’t broken first.
For more details on that code path, check the oref0-online code.

seemed to stick across reboot ; i’ll go look @ oref0-online code as you suggest...

still haven’t looked at the code, but tmp/bad_wifi has the network name of the net that it’s NOT connecting to… so the radio seems to sorta work

@scottleibrand no first time testing I was hoping there might be some info to see if it is a hardware issue or not.

hello all, does anyone know how to use the urchin pebble face with NS token based authorisation? I have not been able to set this up and I don't know if I should revert my NS to a previous state without the token based auth so it will work but this means I would have to reconfigure my openAPS rig... thanks!

Has anyone had issues with Adafruit 2500 batteries. I've had two fail this week. The positive & negative terminal connections become loose and they don't consistently power the Edison rig. Thankfully, they're still under warranty, but I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with them.

@djnoor I’ve soldered some back on. But I’m not sure this is a valid solution for everyone

@tepidjuice

There's a low-level command in the cc111x/cmd/probe Go directory you can build and run with "./probe" to check that it's seeing the radio chip OK.

I'm trying to run oref setup on my spare rig but keep getting this issue:

Removing any existing git in /root/myopenaps/.git
Removed any existing git
Checking openaps 0.2.1 installation with --nogit support
openaps 0.2.1-dev
Checking /root/myopenaps: mkdir: cannot create directory ‘/root/myopenaps’: File exists
/root/myopenaps initialized
/root/src/decocare/ already exists; pulling latest 0.1.0-dev

My 1st rig is working just fine. What to do?

your rig isn't properly online: fix its wifi first
fatal: unable to connect to github.com: is the key there

@scottleibrand my 1st rig is online and working fine but the 2nd one isn't even it has worked in the past. It's my spare rig but I wanted to update it too and bumped into this issue just now. They both are in the same location so wifi is strong.
I even started the OpenAPS setup from the beginning but it keeps telling me that there's no connection.

check your wpa_supplicant.conf - it may be misconfigured
or type wifi to see the oref0-online log
