@zgohr I've just had the wire come off two of my batteries. I haven't done any soldering since my college days. Is it difficult to solder the wires back on?

@ecc1 thanks how do I build with probe?

@tepidjuice i think i found the problem with radio comms with current dev. echo Installing spi_serial && sudo pip install --default-timeout=1000 --upgrade git+https://github.com/scottleibrand/spi_serial.git isn't installed (except for CGM=mdt) and it looks like mraa is not installed in all cases. working on a fix. I'm using Explorer board with 754WW and xdrip. What setup do you have?

@cluckj
Feb 20 15:26
spi_serial and mraa aren't needed for the new pump comms stuff; you only need it if you have to reflash the radio chip

after install spi_serial i see a led on the explorer board. but unfortuately i still get:
cd /root/src/subg_rfspy/tools && ./get_rfspy_version.py /dev/spidev5.1 gives Segmentation fault

@jon can you please point me to correct instructions for reflashing the Edison Explorer radio? I knew and helped revise the instructions for the old master branch, maybe 18 months ago. But can’t figure out how to do it now...

aha, the cron and Go stuff was communicating with the pump. it works now, so need at least the ww pump stuff needs spi_serial

@cluckj @scottleibrand can you confirm spi_serial is not needed with oref0-0.7 with US pump. I'll check if it's used for the WW. Because after I installed it, and downgraded mraa from 2.0.0 back to 1.7.0 the pump comms now work on the dev rig
Jon Cluck
@cluckj
Feb 20 15:42
@PieterGit yes, it's not needed

Feb 20 15:44
@cluckj thanks. testing by remove spi_serial and later mraa to see if i can get pump comms to fail again
i checked source for spi_serial, but can't find references. don't know why it works now, and didn't a few days ago

Feb 20 15:45
it may have been a reboot?
PieterGit
@PieterGit
Feb 20 15:45
i did several reboot's before
what's the proper way to remove the mraa libs?
#  ldconfig -p | grep mraa
        libmraa.so.2 (libc6) => /usr/local/lib/libmraa.so.2
        libmraa.so.0 (libc6) => /usr/local/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libmraa.so.0
        libmraa.so (libc6) => /usr/local/lib/libmraa.so
        libmraa.so (libc6) => /usr/local/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libmraa.so

hmm, iirc there was some secret sauce that was needed on the edison that oref0-setup does

Hi all, I am trying to get an openaps rig running again after a while where it was not used and it keeps shutting down with Rebooting to fix radio errors! messages. I stopped the cron service, I deleted the crontab content, I kill the cron progress... Nothing stops the reboot countdown. Where else could this be started from?
Jon Cluck
@cluckj
Feb 20 15:55
@frauzufall shutdown -c will stop that

@cluckj . With fresh dev:
# cat  /sys/kernel/debug/gpio_debug/gpio110/current_pinmux
mode0
Jon Cluck
@cluckj
Feb 20 15:59
that should be happening on every reboot for the edison (trying to track down where it is and why it's not in the reboot cron job)
oh, it's in oref0-pump-loop :)
PieterGit
@PieterGit

@cluckj I think the install of npm install oref0 (the master version) somehow screws up things with current dev later. That's caused by https://github.com/openaps/oref0/pull/1176/files#diff-c06b6b82e7f6a1a582ad5c42a380a742L30 .

@tepidjuice can you see if you're radio comms problems is solved with openaps/oref0#1176 ?

Hello all. It appears that the 900MHz Explorer Boards are out of stock on the Enhanced Radio site. Is there another place to purchase those?

I'm setting up a new Edison, and the time zone options have changed. For Pacific time, is the correct choice Pacific Ocean, or Pacific - New ?
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
Feb 20 22:27
Pacific - New
it's not so new, but for some reason the Linux maintainers have never changed it back
alternatively, you can choose America / Los Angeles
eliotsdad
@eliotsdad
Feb 20 22:28
@scottleibrand Thank you. I assumed that was it, but it used to be Los Angeles, so I didn't want to mess it up from the get go. Hope you're doing well!
