Hi All, I had an interesting conversation with a work colleague the other day. His wife has Addison's disease (adrenal insufficiency) and is using an insulin pump to deliver hydrocortisone to prevent and treat low blood sugars (so the opposite of T1d). He heard about us closed looping with our son and is interested in closing the loop for his wife. Has anyone considered such an application? Obviously there would be a bunch of algorithmic changes needed, including a model of the pharmacokinetics of hydrocortisone and a reversal of the logic on when to treat. Any thoughts?

@thebookins Hi to you. I also have the addison disease (with diabete) but I dont understand the need for a closed loop only for that one. In my case it doesn't require as much control as diabete does. Can you tell me more?

you're using an old version of dev (>3 weeks ago), or you have an incomplete installation

@cluckj I used the instructions on https://openaps.readthedocs.io/en/latest/docs and also tried installing Master and still ended up with the same issue.
I'm going through the entire process again from the beginning and will report if I run into the same issue.

running git checkout dev git pull npm run global-install in your ~/src/oref0, then re-running setup should reproduce the important parts and save you some time :)

Sadly I went through that step as well. I'm hoping someone here can replicate the error.
running git checkout dev stated that I was already on the latest version of dev.

what kinds of trouble?
reflashing on dev with ccprog is a little tricky, you'll need to install MRAA manually (script here that might help: https://github.com/bnielsen1965/Explorer_HAT_Test_Fixture/blob/master/Software/cc1110/ccprog/install_mraa.sh )

mmtune: 2019/04/06 17:49:26 cannot connect to CC111x radio on /dev/spidev5.1
2019/04/06 17:49:26 cc111x: no response
I noticed ccprog, does not play nice with stretch...
# cd ccprog; make ccprog
gcc -o ccprog ccprog.c readhex.c -lmraa
ccprog.c: In function 'main':
ccprog.c:777:18: warning: implicit declaration of function 'isprint' [-Wimplicit-function-declaration]
         else if (isprint (optopt))
                  ^~~~~~~
it still creates ccprog, but that segfaults:
# ./ccprog -p 19,7,36 erase
Segmentation fault

this rig has been having weird issues - it worked fine on WIFI. THen i got BT tether to work, and it did not go easily back to wifi. Then it did not get back on WIFI at all. now I am in there - 2 USBs - via terminal, not ssh
same computer I am using to type this
Which clearly has internet :)
It intermittendly drops connection - it works fine for hours and then stops. reflash ...?

after a reboot it was looping again, and seems to be now running setup.
A hardware issue?

FWIW it doesn’t matter whether your computer has Internet: the rig won’t use the USB connections to get online, just wifi or BT.

Ah. Do you have any thoughts on what might stop it from using WIFI? It's jumped back onto the BT tether just now
I am running out of data ... :-o

Hi all, maybe someone can give a hand. I'm constantly getting radio errors. This is what I see many times a day:

Broadcast message from root@XXXX (Sat 2019-04-06 18:34:04 CEST):
Rebooting to fix radio errors!
The system is going down for reboot at Sat 2019-04-06 18:35:04 CEST!

After reboot it often repeats the message and reboots again. When this happens the loop doesn't work sometimes for hours at a time. Any ideas of how to deal with this? Thanks!

Other times it runs without problem for several hours.

At this point, I think it is a hardware issue. thankfully I seem to have two others running right now, so perhaps it is time to turn this one off.

@thebookins Really cool idea -- and actually, this issue could become relevant to all of us when shelf-stable glucagon becomes commercially available. A real "artificial pancreas" would of course be able to give us glucagon or equivalent pro-gluconeogenesis hormones (hydrocortisone is one, I guess) as well as insulin. Do people with this disease such as your friend's wife normally use CGM?

@juanjuanmejias_twitter did you try to reboot the rig? What version are you using? 0.6.x master of 0.7.x dev?
@cluckj thanks for the mraa install link. I installed it with the install from the 0.6.x release, but that's incompatible with node 8 causing the segfaults. flashing was ok, now check if it works
we have pump comms again!
with stretch and http://www.jubilinux.org/dist/jubilinux-v9+0.4.1.zip and latest 0.7.x

Hi, I got something weird happening on my pi0 rig. It seem it just prefered my bluetooth thetering over my home Wi-Fi... I rebooted the rig and it solved the issue, but how could that happen?

I usually switch the rig off and back on. Is that equivalent to rebooting?
I just run reboot just in case

@PieterGit. Could you tell me how to check the oref0-online.log?
Also I realized that it just doesn't switch back from the thetering when I get back home...
