@scottleibrand

if anyone is running oref0 dev and using xDrip, we could use some testers of openaps/oref0#1248
is xdrip different from lookout?

xdrip is an Android program, right? Sorry I am getting confused - for Lookout I enter CGM = xdrip.

I am trying to reflash an edison explorer board in order to start afresh. The board has been flashed before and successfully looped using openAPS. Every time I start the flash process it tells me that the board already has been flashed and it just reboots and asks for my previous login pw. Is there any way of clearing whats on the edison of the previously loaded Jubilinux os?

@Volberger I think you'll need to do the IP address thing again, sometimes the hostnames don't work properly

quick question.. what would be a good process after eating fats? How to make it aware to openaps, as when they kick in after few hours we have something like on the picture and it is difficult for the openaps to bring it down.

You can enter carb equivalents for them. It usually works well to enter them along with the meal: COB will stay a bit high until it finally sees the positive deviations from the fat absorption and doses for that. Alternatively, you can enable the “low temp target indicates resistance” preference and set a temp target below 100 for the time period you’d like it to dose more aggressively.

Completed oref0-pump-loop at Thu Apr 25 21:47:14 EDT 2019
I'm looping!!! I closed the loop for a short while last night and then restarted this morning! Thank you @scottleibrand @straykatz @ecc1 @cluckj (and anyone else I may have missed) for your suggestions that helped me past my flashing and wifi issues.
And thank you to everyone who has ever contributed to this project. It is really amazing to watch my rig take over some of my constant mental load! And also amazing that it was made possible not by the pump company that has been in this business forever or any of the scrappy new pump companies, but by volunteers who have done this in their "spare" time. I've waited so long for this moment. I can't believe it is finally here.

@scottleibrand thanks Scott. If I understand first suggestion correctly the equivalent carbs are entered so that it decays longer, or I should enter them as eating soon in 2-3h ? The second suggestion feels better, but I think I should test and see which one works better.

The two good options with OpenAPS are enter the carb equivalents (in addition to the real carbs) at meal time, or enter just the real carbs and set an “eating soon” target afterward.

I thought all the time, my rig would not connect to my mobile router. I came to this opinion, because I could not reach the rig via SSH (unkown host). In fact, the connection (rig to mobile router to Nightscout server) works. When I only used my WLAN at home, there were no problem to log into my rig via ssh. But using a mobile router I have the question, how can I log into my rig via ssh? Who knows?

Greetings from Cologne

The internal IP probably changes
when you switch to different wireless networks, so the IP that you SSH into would be different.
Are you SSH'ng into the private ip? 172.16-31.., 192.168.., 10...* from something on the same network? Or are you trying to SSH into the public IP. Your question is a bit open ended as far as what the problems could be.

@cluckj Hello , thank you for your answer. But the IP adress thing did not work.

@Volberger I just found your initial post. It is because your mobile hotspot does not like the NetBios name

@danielharrelson Thank you for your answer! The point is that I do not want to loop ONLY at home, but also outside. For this I would like to use my mobile router. Bluetooth tethering was too complicated for me, maybe later. Important: My rig works with Wi-Fi and !!! with my mobile router. Yeah!!! But: I come with SSH only on the rig, if it is in the WLAN at home, I can not get in, if the rig uses the mobile router, when I am in the woods.

You will need to know your IP address of your rig and ssh to root@ip.address
How many devices typically connect to your mobile hotspot? 2? 3? 4?
the easiest thing I can think of doing, is you can setup the DHCP limit on devices if you go to your mobile hotspot's configuration address in a browser... set the # to something low. that you would reasonably attach to that system.
then ssh to all of the IP's (3 or 4?) until you get a hit, since the netbios names aren't working.

1 = my rig and a second one (my notebook) to come in my rig, same network and ssh

i'd set the range to 3 or 4, just in case you ever add another.
or have a need for additional
what is the make and model of your hotspot ? i'll see if i can find some quick instructions for you.
