@GabeA23
@shgrady thanks! @danamlewis does that mean the Raspberry Pie or Intel Edison is pulling my BG data straight from my CGM sensor/transmitter? Sorry for the basic questions, I am working my way through the OpenAPS documentation and it's a lot!
Sarah Hodson Grady
@shgrady
I am currently using an Omnipod, everybody has been trying to suggest ways for me to find a compatible pump on here today.
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
@GabeA23 you build openaps rig to pull data from the cgm receiver usually or from the cloud. and ditto from reading info (settings, history of activity) from the pump.
GabeA23
@GabeA23
@danamlewis Gotcha, so the openaps rig can't pull raw data directly from the transmitter? Has that been attempted?
Sarah Hodson Grady
@shgrady
I think people are trying with g5s and xdrip....
g5 is bluetooth, g4 is radio transmissions
the people trying to get the Omnipod to work are focusing on those radio transmissions
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
@GabeA23 some folks are working on it for g5, but not done yet. so still need a receiver OR to hook your system up to pull the bgs from the share server. (which means you’d need to be online to loop, so we still recommend having a receiver for offline use)
Dan Piessens
@dpiessens
Im running my G5 with xDrip and Nightscout to get it in the loop
I'm working on direct support for an edison or PI right now, but it's not as straight foreward
If you have a G5 and receiver

@jbwittmer
@Spazholio By the way, I did finally figure out the command to rezone my pumphistory.json (you were helping me with it yesterday). Added a report via openaps report add monitor/pumphistory-zoned.json JSON tz rezone monitor/pumphistory.json and it works.
Paul Martin
@Spazholio
That seems markedly simpler than what I had. Odd. Either way, congrats!
Jason Wittmer
@jbwittmer
Thanks. I tried to do a pull request to modify the docs to explain what I did for those who come later, but I'm not sure I did that right. Anyway, seems that there is a movement towards a different way to implement Nightscout integration anyway.

I'd be curious to hear from @bewest if the way @jbwittmer did his rezoning has any potential problems down the line.

GREAT TALK!!!!
So perfectly presented...
For the folks looking for pumps, I have your hook up!

I have the contact info for these folks that have compatible pumps to sell and did a bunch of research on them before buying / talked to the two guys before purchasing; Ashley just seemed super legit after researching her / exchanging lots of email. They are all legit / sent me what I was expecting.

  1. Eric Aleman
    eric.aleman@fredloya.com
    Has one pump left that is compatible
    He is in TX
    Slow responder
    Phone is: +1-956-2892233
    Cheaper prices...like $500
    Make sure he uses a box to pack the pump in...mine came in a padded envelope.
  1. ashleymiranda906@yahoo.com
    Has multiple compatible pumps...a bit cheaper than the next guy
    Lightning fast responder
    I feel she has some way of getting more
    In North Carolina

He definitely can get more pumps. He has some contact down in California that gets them as they are turned in and then sends them to Todd in Canada who then sells them.

My website in Azure is down . It happens from time to time. I suppose its from Openaps . I found that i have to switch to a paid option which is not a problem but can someone specifically suggest which paid option should i choose . I switched now to shared last time i did it i paid 15 Euro . I have profile in Heroku so i can switch there too. My husband has a domaind and i suppose we can install our own server there . Any ideas will be highly apreciated .

If you are looking for pumps, see my message above this one...I had luck with all of them.

@thacherT1D
@dm61 @loudestnoise I'm still having trouble getting my ns-status to include "clock iob suggested enacted battery reservoir status" fields
Lynne Butts
@flutelynne_twitter
@xpucuto Even with heroku, I have to restart the dynos every once in a while so everything shows up. I pay $7 USD per month. If you use share at all with NS, uptimerobot keeps things running a little better.
Hristina Dimova
@xpucuto
@flutelynne_twitter I don't have share I'm in Europe . Is it only one paid plan in Heroku ?
7$ sound fine :)
Lynne Butts
@flutelynne_twitter
@xpucuto I am not sure. I took the cheapest option.
Dragan Maksimovic
@dm61
@thacherT1D , assuming you are now following openaps/docs#129, have you done: oref0 device-helper ns-status 'ns-status $*' | openaps import to setup the ns-status device?
Thacher
@thacherT1D
yes, I still only end up with [device "ns-status"] vendor = openaps.vendors.process extra = ns-status.ini
and not with the other fields
Dragan Maksimovic
@dm61
that's ok; now that you have the ns-device, you can setup the report that pulls all the data for the status update
For example, this is what I did (exactly as explained in Ben's notes):
openaps report add nightscout/openaps-status.json JSON ns-status shell monitor/clock.json oref0-monitor/iob.json oref0-predict/oref0.json oref0-enacted/enacted-temp-basal.json monitor/battery.json monitor/reservoir.json monitor/status.json
Thacher
@thacherT1D
okay -- how do I remove a process that is messed up? I tried to remove simmilar to a device and it didn't work
Thacher
@thacherT1D
using openaps device remove "process name" worked

@ryanchen26 we dilute insulin using the diluent from Lilly. As someone else mentioned it is free. We make U-25 every 2 weeks in the diluent vial by discarding 250 units (1000 units total in the vial) and replacing that volume with 250 units of lispro. Works very well and her ISF is around 90. I also think that given her basal is between 0.1-0.4 of U-25, if we were using U-100 I'm not sure how accurate the actual insulin delivery would be when you get down to 0.025 units per hour which is I believe the pump minimum.
@danamlewis have the bugs been worked out of AMA? is it merged yet? I have meal assist working and wondering if it is worth changing to AMA? I deactivated auto sense because it seemed to be doing some screwy things, she eats a lot being so young and I think it was misinterpreting certain things because of that.
