@scottleibrand @danamlewis short q to the >6.3 decocare issue, I remember this was fixed by @ecc1 but it has not been merged, that's right?
Any chance that this fix will be merged soon?

Yesterday I did re-flash an edison and fully new install all rtd descripted steps, but realized the same error, thanks for your reply!

Has anyone seen this before? trying to connect edison via BLE to an Android device....
root@EdisonAPS:~# sudo bt-pan client FA:39:46:65:72:BA
root@EdisonAPS:~# sudo dhclient bnep0
Cannot find device "bnep0"

all other steps in the config seem to work - just getting hung up here...

Hi. Sorry if already asked. Is there a european supplier for the Explorer Board? Thanks
Tim Street
@tim2000s
@albertotrg Not currently.
But it's an open source design, and @SandraK82 was looking in to that.
albertotrg
@albertotrg
Thanks @tim2000s . And in USA? Is there only one supplier (which is out of stock until late Feb)? Right?
Sandra Keßler
@SandraK82
@tim2000s @albertotrg we are looking into it, however we need currently to focus on the blueReader project. A first glance showed that it should be easy to produce the boards in Europa, however we need time (time we currently dont have) to investigate into the chips, cost and production complexity of the board before we can announce if and at which price we can produce them

Is it possible to mount the edison's mass-storage partition from jubilinux on an explorer board? I'd like to save my autotune.xlsx there so I can view it on my Mac.
Chris Oattes
@cjo20
if you're on a mac you could probably use scp to get the files
scp user@host:/path/to/file . copies a remote file to the local machine
Eric Luhrs
@eluhrs
@cjo20 Yea, I've done that in the past. But I think it should be possible to mount the mass-storage device and then write to it from a cron job.

Has anyone had trouble with extracting the 2 files from https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/learn_tutorials/3/3/4/dfu-util-0.8-binaries.tar.xz? I can get it to download but I cant seem to extract the files?

Looking to finally try and get OpenAPS setup today. I just saw the addition of the (2) M2 screws and (6) M2 nuts. Are these “required” for setup? Or can I set everything up and do this part when I can get the nuts and screws?
jburke41
@jburke41
@hilarykoch Yes, you should be able to do everything and ge the screws later
hilarykoch
@hilarykoch
@jburke41 Super. Thank you!

@ceben80
@jburke41 are u nano with sudo?
sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces
Scorponok
@Scorponok
@jburke41 If you're using Windows, I'm pretty sure 7zip could open that file
hilarykoch
@hilarykoch
Still thinking about “step 1” of connecting the Explorer Board to the Edison. I see pictures on the OpenAPS page but doesn’t look like an Explorer Board. Seems like my Explorer board has two nuts and bolts already on it and the Edison came with two nuts. Do I maybe have already what I need?
FullSizeRender.jpg.jpeg
Or maybe someone can post a pic of what it should look like combined?
Matthias
@ceben80
Scorponok
@Scorponok
@ceben80 Thanks for posting that, I didn't screw mine in because I wasn't 100% sure of which screws to use
jmcrawford
@jmcrawford
@jburke41 Probaby means you're logged in as the Pi user, in which case you'd want to use sudo to edit the file.
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
@hilarykoch that's not an explorer board. You must have bought a different kind of breakout board
That will work for looping, but you'll also need to add a TI stick to it. Or get an explorer board (radio stick built in).
Matthias
@ceben80
@jburke41 /etc/network/interfacesmust be always accessed with root rights!
hilarykoch
@hilarykoch
@danamlewis I think I just figured it out! Goodness, it’s going to be a long day. OK, it came with the Edison I think and I just kept everything together. Hang on..
jburke41
@jburke41
@ceben80 so instead of vi /etc/network/interfaces, I use sudo /etc/network/interfaces?

FullSizeRender.jpg-1.jpeg
@danamlewis This is it, right?!
Scorponok
@Scorponok
@hilarykoch I think you have the intel somethingorother board in your initial picture, you can buy it with the edison on amazon
That picture you just posted looks like the explorer board
For that you'd want the sparkfun screws that Mathias linked above
Dana Lewis
@danamlewis
@hilarykoch yeaaaa now we're talking
Phew!!!!
Matthias
@ceben80
@jburke41 see again my post

sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces not sudo /etc/network/interfaces!
hilarykoch
@hilarykoch
Ok, Phew is right. OK. So back to needing nuts and bolts. But that can wait. Ok, digging into the setup. Thanks!
Scorponok
@Scorponok
Just snapping it in seems reasonably secure to me, I'd still screw it in before taking it anywhere though

Seeking some guidance.... I finally have BLE working with my Edison and Android, AND offline with xDrip+ is also working. I can see from my pump, and from tailing the log that it's working. :) BUT... for some reason, data is not being uploaded to my NS site. Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this?
