I keep dropping low and it keeps recommending more insulin. I can't figure out why.
I'm entering carbs.
Constantly getting negative IOB

Do I just change "enable": " autotune ", to "enable": "",?

For a few days now there has been no activity on my nightscout

I didnt change anything in nightscout settings, Dexcom Share is on with connectivity, and Heroku plug size is
58.2 MiB of 500 MiB. Anyone know what else I can try or check?

@ecc1
@refields have you checked if your mongodb is full?
is your openaps successfully uploading to NS? what do the logs say?
refields
@refields
@ecc1 it looks like my mongodb is full

how do I clear it to zero?

@ecc1 I dont think those instructions apply anymore since the mLab migration to Atlas which happened in November 2020. Are there instructions for doing this in the Atlas UI?
Eric
@ecc1
@refields I found this using Google; you can too. I don't use a hosted mongo service, so YMMV: https://nightscout.github.io/troubleshoot/troublehoot/#database-full

@ecc1 this worked. thank you again. I promise I did try Google initially, and unsuccessfully. I think I even had to do this once before. The problem is life goes on fine for 6-12 months with the CGM-rig working properly and then something goes awry and I forget all the steps. Really appreciate it.
Eric
@ecc1
@refields glad it worked. I have a repeating 6 month reminder on my calendar to do this, btw

@ecc1 @refields openaps/oref0#1232 has a script that deletes old NS entries every night. Actually it does not delete them but rather copy them locally. Fill free to use it.

Hi all :) we are trying to collect tracing data on an OpenAPS Raspberry Pi rig for our voluntary safety project, we were wondering if anyone here would have time to send us some trace logs of their rig while their loop is running if we send them instructions on how to do this? Also if anyone would like to look at our safety analysis so far? :)

So I bought a Pi4 to upgrade from the Pi0. The PiHAT doesn't seem to fit as nicely onto the 4 as the zero. I looked through the docs. I don't see anything that explicitly says it won't work, but is that a compatible setup or do I need to go and get another bonnet instead?

Hi, I have been trying to install OpenAPS on Pi Hat, Medtronic 722 (which serves as CGM and Pump) and got stuck in error messages for several weeks, Profile invalid, Couldn't refresh_old_profile, etc. The signal between Pi Hat and Pump seems to be strong, and the setup retrieves the data OK and updates Nightscout with BG, but it does not generate any treatment files (no files within enact). I followed Dave Cole's note (http://www.dc9.com/openapsonrpizero/InstallingOpenAPSMasteronRPIZeroW.html). I also tried to install the Raspberry Pi Desktop version, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Following up on my thoughts of the PiHAT vs. Bonnet for pairing with my RPi4, it seems that I'm having a similar issue that I was originally having when I purchased the RPi0 and paired it the PiHAT -- the system seems to stop working randomly after a period of time. The LCD screen of the HAT stays illuminated but I'm unable to connect to SSH and all temp basals stop. I/other though before that the Pi0 just wasn't as capable, but it might be the PiHAT that's causing the issue? I'm using 722+G6. Is this something that people are aware of, and any thoughts about which logs I should be checking out to figure it out?
tzachi-dar
@tzachi-dar
@garetis The issue is that there is a line of code that is looking for the battery, and if it is lower than 1% it closes the pi.
You need to find that line and remove it.

@iamgopark

@Foxy7 Thank you! I ran the script as soon as I came home got the following result - it looks okay to me, but I don't know if I expect something else

~/myopenaps# cd ~/myopenaps && sudo service cron stop && killall -g openaps ; killall-g oref0-pump-loop; oref0-mmtune && sudo service cron start
openaps: no process found
bash /usr/local/bin/oref0-pump-loop
└─status.sh /root/src/openaps-menu/scripts/status.sh
└─status.sh /root/src/openaps-menu/scripts/status.sh
├─sed -n s/."response":\([^}]\)}/\1/p
└─socat -,ignoreeof /root/src/openaps-menu/socket-server.sock
killing bash /usr/local/bin/oref0-pump-loop pid 913 pgid 614 running for 430 seconds
mmtune: "916.700", 3, -20 -- "916.750", 3, -22

@tzachi-dar I have a quick question for you. You mentioned battery, which I do not have in my setup. I wonder if I got the error because of that. Any suggestions?

@jaybaron1
Do we have the ability to design a diy insulin pump with openaps onboard?
I was thinking about reverse engineering an insulin pump with a raspberry pi or something like that which could control a plunger

Hey @danamlewis, just found out a new layer of compatibility instructions for users of Windows 10: This needs to be installed in addition to the Edison drivers: https://ftdichip.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/CDM21228_Setup.zip (see https://ftdichip.com/drivers/ for more detail).
tzachi-dar
@tzachi-dar
@iamgopark on the file oref0\bin\oref0-cron-every-15min.sh you have this line:
sudo ~/src/openaps-menu/scripts/getvoltage.sh | tee ~/myopenaps/monitor/edison-battery.json | jq .battery | awk '{if ($1<2)system("sudo shutdown -h now")}' &
This line closes the system if you don't have a battery.
Simply remove it.
Sarah Park
@iamgopark
@tzachi-dar Thank you! My sensor ended, but I will try it and report back to you!
garetis
@garetis

@tzachi-dar Oh, interesting. So is this 1% closure thing is primarily due to the PiHAT not being powered from a battery and from a wall charger instead? Why is the battery measuring less than 1% if a RPi+HAT is connected to a wall charger? Seems like a noteworthy limitation of that combination, I don't recall seeing that in the docs anywhere?

Although I have interest in diving into the code at some point I don't think I really have the wherewithal to do it now, and am apt to buy a bonnet and use that instead for this planned home-based RPi4 rig. That being said, it is possible the issues I was having with the RPi0+HAT were stemming from this wall charging issue and not the limitations of the Pi0? I don't remember my issues specifically but do remember it working sporatically, so maybe it was related to when it was charged via battery/wall and I didn't make that connection?

tzachi-dar
@tzachi-dar
@garetis when the pi is configured from the wall and not from a battery that value is simply zero. That said, this is a relatively new addition to the code, so not many people run into it. That said, many of the pi zeros are of low quality.
Foxy7
@Foxy7
@iamgopark have you got an antenna on your rig? since i'd expect the last number to be in the range -70 to -90 when working. (but i'm not too sure about it).
