I'm using xCode and it is not letting me compile/build an app because of the signature...
I will see if a setting allows the code to go unsigned
Scott Leibrand
@scottleibrand
I haven't tried it myself yet, so not sure about the details like that.
Toby Canning
@TC2013
Yes, under "Build Settings" there is an option "Don't sign code"

@someoneAnyone
You should be able to build, test and simulate with Xcode 7.x. No need to have a paid account.
Some of the features of my app or others might not work without a paid account though. Mainly iCloud access, push notifications things like that.
Toby Canning
@TC2013
oh, it is your app! Thanks Pete!
Which app should I test, nightscouter or nightscouter2?
Toby Canning
@TC2013
Okay, got it running! I love the apple watch support!
Pete Schwamb
@ps2
Does it have a BG complication?
Pete
@someoneAnyone
Nightscouter2 isn’t ready yet
@ps2 Yes it does but its update schedule it limited to hourly.
@TC2013 glad you got it working
Pete Schwamb
@ps2
Is that a platform limit? (The one hour interval?)
Pete
@someoneAnyone
yes. you have a budget for complication updates… its flexible but the only reliable interval I’ve found is 60mins
if we have push notifications we could update via slient pushes but even that is rate limited
Pete Schwamb
@ps2
I was figuring there was some iOS reason there were no good BG complications. Someone needs to poke apple in the eye with a pebble.
Mikael Rinnetmäki
@mrinnetmaki
For my own use case, I'd really like an option to switch more frequent updates on and off. I could then have them on for certain parts of the day (when I feel it's more important for me to get the complication updates), even if I'd eventually run out of quota.
Pete
@someoneAnyone
@mrinnetmaki i thought about something similar, but didn’t have a good way to deal with it in UI.
plus i never found way to figure out what the budget was.

Are there any developers in this room going to WWDC?
Martin Haeberli
@mhaeberli
a) with xDrip, we used to see calibrations; b) with Dexcom Share, we don’t. Also, we sometimes get dropped connections between the G4 Platinum and the iOS Share phone; I wish the Share app would automatically reconnect ...

All, I wanted to announce that the RileyLink Order Site is up and running. We will be taking preorders for RileyLinks starting today and plan on shipping July 10. https://getrileylink.azurewebsites.net/. Please forward this on to those that may want to get an order in.

@savelik
@jlucasvt, Jeremy - will that replace the USB stick that talks to the pump? You can probably switch from Raspberry to Edison or run everything off an iphone (dexcom g5 + this), am I right? :)

Jeremy M Lucas (GetRileyLink.org)
@jlucasvt
Yes primary use is phone app no need for Edison. Take a look at loudnate/Loop and LoopKit it's pretty amazing.

Does anyone know of an iOS xDrip?
Martin Haeberli
@mhaeberli
@TC2013 iOS xDrip app is a frequent topic on other similar forums - see for example nightscout/dexdrip . We are advised it is feasible, but requires software. I’m also interested - trying to gather data from CGM but minimize extra devices carried, and sometimes Share seems to drop out. So at the moment, I believe there is none, but there is interest.

I'm working on one , i plan to switch from Android to iphone soon: https://github.com/JohanDegraeve/iosxdripreader I hope to have basic features within a few weeks : receive data from x drip/xbridge, calculate bg (b ased on calibration) upload to nightscout.
Kate Farnsworth
@ELUTE
@hackingtype1 has one but it is not quite ready yet. He has been focusing his efforts on the G5 android app for now
Toby Canning
@TC2013
Wow! That's awesome!
Martin Haeberli
@mhaeberli
@JohanDegraeve look forward to testing it - still building xDrip this week or next!
So I can't quite get everything totally figured out yet. I pre-ordered an explorer board, a 2000mah LiPo, and purchased an edison with the breakout board to flash the edison and get some things figured out before the explorer board comes into the picture. I have a deacon G4 platinum and an iPhone 6s. Will I still need to use the dexcom receiver or can xdrip substitute for this? Is xdrip support integrated into the explorer board? Is there a module I can purchase to integrate xdrip into the explorer board?

you might want to pop over to the intend-to-bolus channel - I’ll answer you there since it sounds openaps related.
