@nlf do you know if network timed out could be an issue with dlite?

i have absolutely no way of knowing. could be dlite, could be your host machine, could be actual network issue

hmm interesting. I see this Network timed out while trying to connect to https://index.docker.io/v1/repositories/library/jenkins/images.
I could go to hub.docker.com on my browser fine
do you know how I could debug it?

you could see if you can ping hub.docker.com in the dlite vm

Mar 12 2016 22:08

try just doing dlite ssh

@tnguyen14
Mar 12 2016 22:09
that's not a valid command for me
Nathan LaFreniere
@nlf
Mar 12 2016 22:09
ah, you're on an older dlite
you can try to ssh in as root but i think it will reject that too
password for that would be dhyve

from my computer, I can ping google.com, but not hub.docker.com, though I could go to the latter on the browser

yeah i think the docker servers block pings
and even if they didn't, that request is going to index.docker.io

I can't ping that either
Nathan LaFreniere
@nlf
Mar 12 2016 22:11
right, because they block pings
so that's not even a valid test anyway
try pulling a different image

seems like that doesn't work either..
