@BrianGenisio you can use it as a serial programmer (I think you have to pull the chip out though)
@mhellar Hi, has anyone had a good experience using j5, photon and voodoospark together? I was thinking about using that combo for a class I'm teaching. Oh and possibly within the electron framework. Thanks!
@mhellar a few have tried it at various points but from what I've heard it can be a little painful at times...
@mhellar - I just got my Particle (Spark) Photon working with JohnnyFive and voodoospark.cpp.
Hi! I just get start on Gitter!
So does the new A$20 Raspberry Pi suggest that the Simplebot architecture be changed? easier to supply a standard Pi dev image than get people sorted out with a PC dev setup?….
Just thinking out loud BTW
@alecthegeek quite possibly... I have one on order to give exactly this a go...
Has anyone tried running freertos on a raspberry pi yet?
makes is act more like a giant overpowered microcontroller
instant boot, real-time scheduling
never tried that @creationix was it hard to get going?
Hi guys so glad to find this community I want to learn about nodebots, Could any body advise me where should I start learning?, Giving any information will help ^^.
I've made two pull requests. nodebots/nodebots.io#88 and nodebots/nodebotsday#276 To get International NodeBot Days started
Who's with me?
Hi - I'm helping to put together a STEM workshop for middle schoolers centered around building a NodeBots Day-style SumoBot (based on the schematics from Norfolk.js). It's a free day-long event, where the kids will be put into teams of 4-5 with mentors to construct, program, and customize their bots before the sumo challenge. My question is this - is it legit and reasonable for us to market it as a NodeBots Challenge or Workshop? It likely won't be on NodeBots Day 2019.
@DavidEBest I would recommend marketing this as a "Workshop with NodeBots" instead of a "NodeBots workshop."
Hi there - my company would be interested in hosting a NodeBots event on NodeBots Day this year. We're based in Boulder and have the space for a large gathering of hackers/makers/developers.
