    According to the last 2 talks, how do you deal with continuous Development when you have breaking changes across 2 different teams?

    How do you guys manage to achieve continuous development without the two features not being blocked?

    Ian Thomas
    @anatomic_twitter
    Deploy the breaking change behind a feature switch and turn on when thoroughly tested in hidden live and both areas are running compatible version?
    Evangelos Pappas
    @epappas
    how maintainable is that?
    too many of those and you are poluting your code
    Ian Thomas
    @anatomic_twitter
    remove them once you've proved out correctness and are confident in the deployment
    we've also looked into immutable servers as a way to solve this, build new env and switchover once tested and confident
    Evangelos Pappas
    @epappas
    true, that's my approach. Plus versioning the the schemas of the datastore
    but that's an opinionated "pollution" of the code. eg user_details -> user_details.v1

    We have been doing node in production since 0.6 almost 5 years.
    Really great to hear BBC put Node into space though :D
    16,000 a second is awesome and the reason we all love Node
