@jbergstroem hey sorry for the delay it took a while to get another IP for my server but it finally arrived, I'll set it up today (all being well) and you should have your toys ready. Have you used the 64-bit image yet or not?
if not, I'll set it up on the other IP too

Question: Using only those gateway credentials provided by Authorized.net, and 'Node.js SDK for Authorize.net payment gateway,' there is no other platform necessary to complete an online credit card transaction?

Hi, is NodeJS only running on one thread? Is it possible to extend it to multithread somehow?
Ryan Graham
@rmg
@matq007 there's a thread pool, but the JS is only executed on a single thread because that's all that the language has traditionally supported..

I am trying to implement a nodejs server that receives syslog messages from a given local host and store it in Nedb

How do I know the IP and port my syslog generator on my machine, cloud9,(another nodejs app) is running on. I can see it generate logs in console?

How do i know where the IP and Port my server is running on or port it should be listening to?

How do I setup the nodejs server to listen to this port and store the logs in Nedb internal database?

I have tried to use winston, but I cant seem to be able to implement its http transport. https://github.com/winstonjs/winston/blob/master/docs/transports.md

Please help, am about to run mad trying to resolve this. thanks

Hi,

i'm trying to use opencv with nodejs
my opencv version is "2.4.13"

when i run “nam install opencv” it’s always fail…

node-pre-gyp http GET https://node-opencv.s3.amazonaws.com/opencv/v5.0.0/Release/node-v46-darwin-x64.tar
node-pre-gyp http 403 https://node-opencv.s3.amazonaws.com/opencv/v5.0.0/Release/node-v46-darwin-x64.tar
node-pre-gyp ERR! install error
node-pre-gyp ERR! stack Error: 403 status code downloading tarball https://node-opencv.s3.amazonaws.com/opencv/v5.0.0/Release/node-v46-darwin-x64.tar.gz

there is a file —“node.opencv” in node-v46-darwin-x64.tar.gz unzip folder
i can’t use node-opencv without this file….

Dose anyone know why the download-link fail, or other way to download files.
Thanks.

*npm install openvc ,,, sorry

Hi, I wanted to learn more about Node's testing infrastructure. I remember a while back podcasts with rvagg mentioning that a whole new CI approach for all the hardware use cases would be a great community project, but not sure if this ever took off. Even if not, I'm just interested in reading articles on which tools they are currently using, how the release team set up different stages of test before moving onto less common hardware, etc. Does anyone have any articles to recommend? (I'm Googling, but not coming up with much about Node.js itself).

Hi
I am struck with a nodejs error
can someone help me with that?
Luca Adrian L
@lal12

I am trying to cross compile nodejs for armv7. I am kind of stuck when it is linking torque since, torque was build as 32bit, though I am running a 64bit system. It is no problem on something Debian based since I just can install multilib, however it seems to be ugly on SUSE (which unfortunately is our companies standard).

I obviously could install multlib on SUSE someway, but in general I wonder: Wouldn't it be nicer to build torque as 64bit anyway? Is there an actual requirement building torque as 32bit (maybe because armv7 is a 32bit arch)? If so why? Or is this only a build system limitation?

should somebody be interested in that, I opened a ticket here nodejs/node#27838 . Any progress I make will be posted there.
