    was meinst du mit "alles andere gehört auf eine eigene seite"?

    @KernTallett
    @timaschew :) German isnt my mother tongue. At times i do struggle to find the correct wording. Im not giving up i shall keep going. Basically my point was we needed to translate all the io js site into german. Plus we need to/can build our own site for resources such as videos, conferences, tutorials(translated/made by us), interviews, articles etc. For the translation what is needed is clear. For our community site we have a lot more freedom although i believe a similar style/theme to the official io.js would be appropriate. Perhaps a blog format for posting.

    @timaschew
    so we can build one website (domain) for the german version but we need to distinguish between stuff we want to contribute via PR to the iojs/website AND own german special stuff
    so the question is should we combine them into one website? or should we use two different types of websites (even if the style and theme is the same)
    I think it's possible to achieve the first solution, even to have two seperate navigations via a environment during the build step
    Anton Wilhelm
    @timaschew
    what do you think?
    Kern
    @KernTallett
    That seems to be correct as long as the items on the iojs de site are purely the translations, we can still host our own site containing all of that plus more things. I think it is possible. We would need to think about the layout. My only concern is regarding whether it is more complicated (in regards to the design) to try to fit all information on the one site than linking to the official site. Any design ideas?
    Anton Wilhelm
    @timaschew
    All the merged pull requests are still not online on iojs.org, I think it's really hard for the website WG to keep it in sync, because there are so many translations and the frequency is also very high
    Anton Wilhelm
    @timaschew
    IMO linking to the official site (you mean the translated site?) is not so important at the moment
    what you mean with "any design ideas"? website design? I think we should keep the theme from the official site and just add / extends the navigation
    Anton Wilhelm
    @timaschew
    I'll try it out and show, then we can talk about concrete content and code
    but there is still something which I don't understand, I checked out all the iojs/iojs-LANG repositories
    there are so many different structures, some have a articles directory, others a medium or publications and also a weekly. Where this structure comes from? and why they don't have the same structure as iojs/website?

    @fibric
    it looks to me that they put all this non iojs-website stuff in too
    I try out to use jade as template engine, it works really nice
    IMO it is more readable and will scale better if we do some more advanced layout and content stuff

    @timaschew
    I added a blog, you can give me some feedback in #15 ;)

    wo finde ich den source-code, der zu https://iojs.org/dist/v3.0.0/ compiled?
    Deniz Adrian
    @zined
    got it. joyent/node -> fork zu iojs/iojs -> rename zu nodejs/node, right?

    so what are we doing wrong in germany and the other countries do it better obviously? :/
    Jan Bölsche
    @regular
    hm, thee NodeJs meetups in Berlin tend to attract a lot of developers, so does JSConf, I don’t think it is that bad actually.

    Mal einen guten Morgen nach Deutschland :smile:
    Ich bin schon länger nicht mehr in der Heimat unterwegs gewesen - wie schaut die nodejs Entwicklung im Lande so aus? In Nordamerika und hier in Asien ist node/react/angular/vue überall. Aber aus Dt. höre ich leider sehr wenig

    @acambule
    Guten Morgen, tatsächlich scheint die deutsche node community (wenn es denn eine gibt), nicht hier bei gitter zu sein. Aber ich finde gitter cool, also join ich den room in der Hoffnung, dass wir uns hier austauschen können. Aktuell habe ich nur Fragen...ohne Ende, und hoffe dass sich mir jemand erbarmt. Gruß Antonio, einer neuer channel user.
    Matthias Kallenbach
    @seekwhencer
