Is there another event coming soon in London? It would be great. Also, I would love to organise a nodejs event but
I don't know anyone to play the role of mentor. How does that work? Are there some mentors available in London?

we're gonna try and run them at least every other month
but I like what Oakland is up to with it's smaller, more regular nodeschoolin
@DanDvoracek did you check out LNUG last night?
if you want to put on a nodejs event
you should get involved with that
via the the user group we've got about 10 people who are up for mentoring

@olizilla This sounds great! and no I have seen it too late :( I work in a really nice agency with very nice people and I am sure that all our developers would be keen about hosting such an event. The thing is that everybody is keen about node, but nobody has got some time so far to really work on it. So we don't pretend to be able to mentor other people. I will have a look in the user group as you suggested. Otherwise I am more than happy to continue a discussion by email.

@DanDvoracek I think maybe I mis-read your previous message. If you're keen to put on a nodeschool event in your office, you should totally do that. The most important part of a nodeschool meetup is showing people how to get started with the workshoppers (learnyounode etc). If you're comfortable doing that, then you already know enough to help others get started
sure people might get stuck, but if you are all colleagues then you can work on them together / pair program

@iancrowther well I would love to be part of it but for the moment, I don't know anything about node.. I just have read a lot about it so I am probably not the best choice for you. However I may drop you a line later on.

@olizilla I am definitely very keen about organising something in our office and after having spoken about it with the Head of Technical Production, I am sure that we could sort out something. I will have a more serious chat about it with them then. But as I said, none of us really got the time to dive deep into it. Even if I am sure some people here will find it easy, I was more thinking about it as a good occasion for all of us to learn something good, and our counterpart would be hosting the event. Let me know what you do think about it.

I'm happy to help organise, just for the next few weeks I've got a lot on. Also toying with the idea of running one at Brunel uni
