Yeah man I'd be well up for co presenting again :) if you've got something in mind to talk about i'd be happy to do the same as before (introduce what we're doing, getting started with some exercises etc)
@benthewhite sounds great..
@iancrowther when you get a chance drop one of us a message about what we need to do / who we need to talk to to get everything together :)
@clarkie can you put @benthewhite in touch with John about proposing a talk for the meetup?
@benthewhite I've taken a look at meetup and the slots for talks are already taken.
Hello Node.Js people
I have a quick question
i have finished learnyounode
i am wondering what would be good to carry on after that workshop
Any recommendations would be much appreciated
the stream-adventure workshop is great
+1 on that too
This lad is into media and design but hadn't considered web design as a creative field.
@JonathanWatkins specifically web stuff? or learn programming in general?
ffs accidentally unwatched the repo, was wondering why everything was so quiet
yo @alanshaw I’m thinking about posting an event for feb
I'm happy to come and help out - when we're you thinking?
sometime following LNUG feb
so either the thursday again (if we can get Makers Academy) or even saturday AM/earlyPM
I’m kinda thinking it’d be nicer to do a saturday and have more time and it be slightly more structured
obv maybe a bit ambitious
I’m guessing LNUG will be 22nd so either 23rd or 25th (if we can get somewhere on a saturday all day)
Okay everyone it’s up! Check out #46!
@srounce this lad is design focused so I thought web might be better. Could get into game programming with a Js library. What do you think?
yeah, I was thinking games would be best
shaderschool is pretty cool (if a little esoteric if you’re not familiar with the modern graphics pipeline)
I think his best bet if he takes that route is to mess around with something like goocreate
write some handler code in JS but mostly everything is WYSIWYG if I recall
then when he wants more control/power he should probably have a go at implementing a simple Entity-Component System
as well as messing with Three.JS
@srounce thanks for re-starting Nodeschool yesterday! It was great to mentor again :sparkles:
it was a pleasure
thx again to all who came and of course to @iteles & Founders & Coders for hosting us!
@lazlojuly when do you wanna meet and try and get a real plan together for next month? (Anyone else up for this too?)
Ines Teles Correia
<3 It was a pleasure to have you! Thanks to @lucymonie for covering the afternoon!!

Yes thanks for the session yesterday! I learnt so much from you @srounce! After my first kata in codewars and then the workshop yesterday, I feel like I finally broke a barrier and I'm ready to get further ahead with my js journey!
Hey guys- thought I'd drop a note here on a couple events I'm running during London Tech Week you might find interesting - i know a good amount of you have signed up already
