@non I have a PR for Discipline queued up to add js support. And I've almost got a PR ready for Algebra for scala.js support too. I appreciate your priority to get a release out for Cats - any chance that scala.js build could be part of the release as well?

@InTheNow i think everyone working on algebra is in favor of supporting scala.js, so if we have all the dependencies in place and a PR i'm certainly happy to merge it before cutting a release.

great. Albeit much slower and with minSuccessful set to 10, all tests pass except for laws[BaseLaws, Rat].check(_.isReal) and laws[RingLaws, Rat].check(_.field) that never return. Would that be expected?

@InTheNow it's plausible that the integer-emulation in JS makes something like Rat very slow.
(and honestly the Rat type is used only for testing. i'm tempted to remove it since spire.math.Rational is strictly better.)
