    Hello, I am trying to migrate from a server to another, following this documentation: https://docs.rudder.io/reference/5.0/administration/procedures.html#_migration_backups_and_restores
    except rudder-jetty just won't start, with this error:
    error: Can't stat file '/var/rudder/cfengine-community/inputs/server-roles/1.0/postgres-check.cf' for parsing. (stat: No such file or directory)

    Hi
    this is a strange error for rudder-jetty
    isn't it an error from the agent during the generation
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    the machine I'm trying to move rudder-server to used to be managed by the former server (we're a bit short on hardware right now :( )
    Vincent Membré
    @VinceMacBuche
    Did you instal your new server with the same Rudder version ? or a different (newer one) ?
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    good question, it might be 14 instead of 13
    Nicolas Charles
    @ncharles
    it needs to be exactly the same
    Vincent Membré
    @VinceMacBuche
    it's a file we removed in 14
    Nicolas Charles
    @ncharles
    we changed many thing btw 13 and 14
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    Ok, my bad then :(
    Vincent Membré
    @VinceMacBuche
    But that should not be a problme with rudder-jetty this more a generation error or an agent run error
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    Is there a way I can remove everything rudder related?
    Nicolas Charles
    @ncharles
    what do you mean ?
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    nevermind, I reinstalled the server from scratch
    But I followed the basic documentation and I still get that error
    image.png
    image.png
    So it's a brand new rudder install on a brand new ubuntu 18.04 install
    Vincent Membré
    @VinceMacBuche
    can you access rudder server UI ? what is the output of 'service rudder-jetty status' ?
    errors you have are normal, it's other services that have errors until rudder server is correctly up
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    image.png
    Vincent Membré
    @VinceMacBuche
    they are not related to jetty
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    "rudder is currently loading"
    Vincent Membré
    @VinceMacBuche
    so you have errors in /var/log/rudder/webapp/2019_10_22.stderrout.log ?
    Nicolas Charles
    @ncharles
    ok, so it fails at setting the password
    as it is the agent who set passwords for all services
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000

    Nicolas Charles
    @ncharles
    is it Rudder 5.0.14 or the nightly ?
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    5.0.14-ubuntu18.04
    Alexis Mousset
    @amousset
    You can try to edit /var/rudder/cfengine-community/inputs/promises.cf and remove server-roles/1.0/postgres-check.cf from the "inputs_list" list.
    then rudder agent run should work (and fix your webapp)
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    indeed
    Alexis Mousset
    @amousset
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    perfect, thanks!
    Alexis Mousset
    @amousset
    Is the webapp working now?
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    yep
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    Is it possible to download older versions of rudder packages?
    Alexis Mousset
    @amousset
    Sure, you have access to all packages with https://repository.rudder.io/apt/ and https://repository.rudder.io/rpm/
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    thanks
    Nicolas Charles
    @ncharles
    @Edzilla2000 I failed to reproduce your issue, i installed rudder server 5.0.14-ubuntu18 on a new ubuntu18, and it correctly started. I had one webapp start with the password error, but that right after the rudder-init, when password are still not propagated everywhere
    Nicolas Charles
    @ncharles
    I installed Rudder using https://docs.rudder.io/reference/5.0/installation/server/debian.html (not the curl | bash part), ran rudder-init, ran rudder-agent, everything went fine
    Edzilla2000
    @Edzilla2000
    I think I installed it with the curl|bash script, but I can't be sure
    I have another issue, on the production server I have a lot of machines with grey status bar (no report)
    If I manually run rudder-agent, they show up in the reports, but after a reboot they go back to grey
