I don't think we need to store calculated data.
Sartaj Singh
@leosartaj
You are right. Querying will be trivial anyway.

@ghost~550d34c415522ed4b3dd96cb
It'll be better if I can just edit the text file manually and see rollcall understand the changes instantly.
*json file
Sartaj Singh
@leosartaj
You can. :D
Moreover I just worked with this kind of things in credit. I think I can make these changes quickly.
Also, I would like to have something to separate semester.
User doesn't have to delete older data.
I mean reset everything
Semester key?
@mafiya69 What do you think, about json?
Govind Sahai
@0x6773
I think the name of json file will handle that
Ghost
@ghost~550d34c415522ed4b3dd96cb
I'm thinking a separate table that keeps track of semester start and end dates.
Govind Sahai
@0x6773
json?
or sql?
Ghost
@ghost~550d34c415522ed4b3dd96cb
a separate json structure :smile:
Sartaj Singh
@leosartaj
@mafiya69 :+1: on filenames.
Govind Sahai
@0x6773
like fifth_sem.json
Sartaj Singh
@leosartaj
I don't like start and end dates.

This way, we won't have to deal with multiple files. But both are valid options.
Well, we can go with multiple files then.
Sartaj Singh
@leosartaj
Many times. We are not sure. When it ends. When it starts
Just update on the fly. No preprocessing.
Ghost
@ghost~550d34c415522ed4b3dd96cb
My idea was to have a single file for all the data.
Sartaj Singh
@leosartaj
By keeping in separate files. Our file remain manageable.
Ghost
@ghost~550d34c415522ed4b3dd96cb
And, start and end dates for all semesters that have passed by.
Sartaj Singh
@leosartaj
They will grow. If we keep adding all semesters in one.
And will be difficult to provide user with raw data.
Ghost
@ghost~550d34c415522ed4b3dd96cb
Yeah. We can go either way. I don't feel strongly about one or the other.
Both are valid options.
Sartaj Singh
@leosartaj
+1 for separate files @mafiya69 ?
?

I'll deal with attendance for now. For the first time I finally have a reason to learn aeson.
Sartaj Singh
@leosartaj
Also @shivamT95 is facing some connectivity issues.
