    What about the PR in the repo?
    Aren't you proceeding with that?
    Ali Diouri
    @theshadowx
    it's just to sync dev branch with the master
    Ruby Mamistvalove
    @nuttyartist
    Ok, is there a reason why you haven't merged it?
    Ali Diouri
    @theshadowx
    just to let you know

    Hi there. I'm new to using github in general so maybe this is not a specific notes thing... but I'm having trouble installing it. When I get to Compiling and I type in "qmake ../src" terminal tells me "Cannot find file: ../src."

    Oh nevermind. I found your actual website and used the .deb there! Thanks

    I want to start contributing to open-source, I know c++ and some basic Qt. Would you guys like help with anything?

    Hello there, @ImAliMoussa!

    While our current version 1.0.0 will stay open source, are next version is going to be closed-source. So no contributions are needed any more for our original project. Thanks for asking though. Please don't let this let you down, there are plenty of other cool open source software that you can help grow and put a dent in. Best regards.

    I'm thinking about reviving this place.

    Some metrics: We had more than 1.7 million visitors to the website since launch.

    As you can see, the keyword notes is quite seasonal.

    @nuttyartist Please tell me you changed your mind about that statement of making the next version closed-source.

    @nuttyartist
    I did change my mind! @bjorn

    The motivation came from the lack of progress and the stillness in development. I wanted to create incentives for people to work with me on this. But I really believe in keeping Notes open-source, no matter what. It doesn't mean that I want to keep Notes free as a beer (but will always keep it free as speech) - I might charge money for it to get rid of ads and earn more money or just charge to provide our own syncing, and I may not charge at all, it's not yet definitive. But Notes will stay open-source.

    @theshadowx
    @nuttyartist there are many ways to earn money while it is still open-source and free, isn't that true @bjorn ?
    Ruby Mamistvalove
    @nuttyartist
    I keep an open mind about it. What like, @theshadowx?

    (Btw, no plans to charge money for Notes in the near future)
