    @DickensJuma ETH in pacific network is only a gas utility (meaning it doesn't hold any monetory value as of now) and its provided free to perform transactions on Pacific network. So, you wont be able to convert it to OCEAN tokens (they have monetory value). I hope that answers your question.
    @adonnini unfortunately, we are not officially supporting squid-java anymore so you might have to add new and custom features to it yourself if you need them. maybe you can find devs who might want to use java driver as well and then can contribute together on it.

    @lexicond there is no 'commons' network. You are either talking about 'nile' network (our testnet) or 'pacific' network (our mainnet).     @innoprenuer , I already knew that. Please take a look at the exchange of messages I had with @alexcos20 . He kindly asked me
    "what are the req for your app? maybe you can leverage some calls to the agent"
    I answered his question:
    "1) Store detailed location information for access points (AP) (primarily WiFi)
    2) For each AP with a record stored on the blockchain, update that record as needed (using CRAB approach)
    3) Retrieve record of APs in the vicinity (as given by one GPS reading) of a user's current location to accurately estimate that user's indoor/outdoor location
    The above three functions have been implemented and work using the bigchainDB testnet. Until last summer, using squid-java I was on my way to completing implementation to store, update and retrieve AP location information on Nile testnet (I was in the final pahse of testing/debugging).
    Since the changes to squid-java (version 0.8.0), my work has stopped because of issues with squid-java which @ssallam is aware of.
    With functions 1), 2) and 3) running, the next phase would include storing of user location and user mobility analytics information the blockchain for resale to third parties.

    @adonnini - you have two ways of doing that
    1 - use the agent to publish/consume ddo
    2 - use squid-js to develop your own API backend which will accept calls from you app and under the hood you can use squid-js to publish/update ddo as you like (including adding custom fields in additionalInformation attribute in metadata service)
    i would go with 2 without hesitation
    take a look at https://github.com/oceanprotocol/react-tutorial and see how you can use squid-js (ignore react specific code)
    writing an nodejs express backend that uses squid-js should be a two day job at most

    does ocean commons marketplace support Nile testnet? didn't see a way to connect that. Also, I uploaded a small (I hoped test) data file to commons, but I don't see any way to now remove/delete it. Didn't really want to leave it out on the main marketplace. Thx.

    hi all, i'm new to ocean protocol. i'm trying the barge setup. i'm using windows 10 on Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), Ubuntu 20.04 LTS / Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS. i faced the following error when execute ./start_ocean.sh. Would be appreciate if anyone can provide some input of this.
