Why do we need another implementation? Because I can now simply import oh-my-posh and it will override the entire cmder prompt.
Brian Dukes
@bdukes
@JanJoris, as it stands currently, the Cmder scripts that set the prompt run after the user's profile scripts, so they always override whatever you do. They did merge cmderdev/cmder#1280 (with the basic idea of cmderdev/cmder#1282 included), so the next release will allow the user's profile to override the Cmder prompt before it gets set. I've manually applied that Cmder PR, and this now works in my profile:
Import-Module oh-my-posh
$ThemeSettings.MyThemesLocation = $PSScriptRoot
Set-Theme My-Posh-Theme
[ScriptBlock]$Prompt = $function:prompt
so, at this point, I don't think any further changes are needed from oh-my-posh

Hey, Jan, there is no highlight behind the words, everything is reset, when opening new console and nothing is added when inside a repository
Jan De Dobbeleer
@JanDeDobbeleer
Van you show me the output of $error right after setting the theme?
*can
I might have ruined something and never noticed. Either way, it should be an easy fix 😬
Jan De Dobbeleer
@JanDeDobbeleer
I can have a look in 3 hours or so, if I can reproduce it you can expect a fix by then
In the meantime, reverting to 2.0.94 might solve the problem
Bato-Bair
@batousik
There is no error
Jan De Dobbeleer
@JanDeDobbeleer
That's weird
I'll have a look as soon as I can
Bato-Bair
@batousik
Thank you, anything I could try in the meanwhile, I have followed the readme file step by step
Jan De Dobbeleer
@JanDeDobbeleer
Reverting to 2.0.94 might do the trick
Uninstall the module and then PS> Install-Module -Name oh-my-posh -RequiredVersion 2.0.94
Bato-Bair
@batousik
Did the trick
Should I create some script for powershell startup to run set-theme?
Jan De Dobbeleer
@JanDeDobbeleer
Chrck where your $profile is at
Change or create thatdile and add the logic there
Jan De Dobbeleer
@JanDeDobbeleer
Fixed, you can update!

So I am getting weird rendering going on here. The end of the colored line is not pointed and the other characters are not working correctly. Like the branch symbol etc.

I searched but couldn't find, how do I disable git status? I work on llvm from time to time and the repo is huge so git status takes forever on windows
I don't want to have 2 seconds between propmpts
