    would lyvi theoretically work on os x?
    samdevine
    @samdevine
    asking because I'm relatively sure I did everything right on the install, but when I run the script I get the message "Lyvi only supports Python 3" -- but I definitely have python3 installed

    What command did you use to start lyvi?
    samdevine
    @samdevine
    if I just run "$ lyvi" from bash it returns "Lyvi only supports python 3". if i run "python3 lyvi.py" from the lyvi directory it returns "ImportError: No module named 'plyr'
    Ondrej
    @ok100
    And did you also install plyr (with python 3)?
    samdevine
    @samdevine
    I definitely have plyr, although now that you mention it I'm not sure how to determine which version of python it's installed on, or how to install it on a particular one.

    @samdevine
    I'm just wondering whether this is an easily fixable problem, I'm just too dense to figure it out, or the os x factor is complicating things...
    Ondrej
    @ok100
    You probably installed plyr with 'python setup.py install', not 'python3 setup.py install' :-)

    Hey, I've spent many hours trying to make lyvi work with tmux and urxvt for album art. Is it possible? Lyrics display fine
    I tried compiling old versions of tmux, with old versions of lyvi. I tried copying many lyvi.conf versions from the internet. I tried reading lvyi's source to see if I could do anything. I couldn't.

    @ok100
    Hello, are you using urxvt compiled with pixbuf?
    elvis-sik
    @elvis-sik
    Thanks for the quick answer! :smile: I wasn't. But I pacaur -S'd it, and now I am. Still haven't figured out how to make it work, though. I want to note something strange. The docs (man lyvi) say that h should toggle UI, s should toggle background type, but none of those keys seem to have any effect. I can reload metadata with r, quit with q, see artist bio (for example) with a and scroll (g, jk, G). Is this expected? I am using Arch's lyvi-git package.

    @ok100 , I am thinking of making it work for me with a hack I will do when I have time, however I wanted to ask you something else
    have you seen some songs that don't display lyrics, but rather a "Categories: Song ........" message?
    similar to this sahib/glyr#78
    many songs will display okay, some will have this behavior
    I have some examples
    Namely, the song Emily by Joanna Newsom
    calling $ glyrc lyrics --artist "Joanna Newsom" --title "Emily" yields the correct output
    I am planning on investigating on this, but though I might share it with you first

    Hello, currently I don't have time but I will take a look at it next weekend.

    hi @ok100 is there a way to add lyrics databases?
