:D yeah, it's probably all the various dev tools you need to have

looks like studio is getting stuck here
Unable to find method 'com.android.build.gradle.internal.variant.BaseVariantData.getOutputs()Ljava/util/List;'.
Possible causes for this unexpected error include:

Gradle's dependency cache may be corrupt (this sometimes occurs after a network connection timeout.)
Re-download dependencies and sync project (requires network)

The state of a Gradle build process (daemon) may be corrupt. Stopping all Gradle daemons may solve this problem.
Stop Gradle build processes (requires restart)

Your project may be using a third-party plugin which is not compatible with the other plugins in the project or the version of Gradle requested by the project.

In the case of corrupt Gradle processes, you can also try closing the IDE and then killing all Java processes.

hm, never ran into that one; seems to be a problem with your Gradle installation
could you try checking if you have the Kotlin plug-in installed?
(it should be installed by default in Android Studio 3.0 and above)

@arnlo_gitlab
i believe i do, trying to update it
changing the Kotlin version should be enough
in the gradle.build file

rebuilding
sweet, the project builds after i hardcoded my kotlin version in gradle.build

@12people

@12people
btw, are you running it on your device or on an emulator?
arnlo
@arnlo_gitlab
i was about to try it on my device
do you have a preference?
Mirek Mazel
@12people
a device is better
if you have it installed, though, you will probably need to uninstall it from your phone for all users
you can do that in Settings > Apps > Om > Uninstall for all users

@arnlo_gitlab
gotcha
okay i think i'm going to step away for a few hours, will try picking up again later today
thanks for the help!

@12people

btw, I pushed an update to Gitlab with newer libraries: https://gitlab.com/enjoyingfoss/om
if you have any more troubles compiling or running the app, try pulling the latest sources and it should work

I know that nobody hasn't replied here for a long time. I've been suffering from depression and chronic pain for more than a year. Of course, I can take pills, but they make my head foggy (according to the online pharmacy, this is a side effect). That's why I decided to try yoga and meditation. I should say, the Om app turned out to be useful and helpful.
