    Hi
    Can we ran smart contract on child chain (Plasma)
    ?
    pdobacz
    @pdobacz

    hi @totiz, thank you for reaching out!

    I think you'll find a relevant discussion here https://ethresear.ch/t/why-smart-contracts-are-not-feasible-on-plasma/2598/7. If you're asking about theoretical possibilities, its best if you ask there

    if you're asking whether one can run smart contracts on Tesuji Plasma as currently implemented or designed in github.com/omisego/elixir-omg, the short answer is 'no'

    Hiii developers thanks for the hard work and remember not to add to many commas in your code like I would :P

    HI
    omisego network is building here?
    Paul Peregud
    @paulperegud
    Yes! Welcome :)
    Code is at https://github.com/omisego/. Two production repos are plasma-contracts and elixir-omg
    (production as opposed to research)

    hi folks! big fan of the progress with elixir-omg. I've noticed the team is active with PRs, however there are currently only 5 open and 3 closed issues. are you using an internal tool for project management? there isn't a CONTRIBUTING.md file in the repo, so I'm wondering how you'd recommend members of the community begin participating. thanks for all your hard work!
    Pawel Nowosielski
    @pnowosie
    Hey @bradleystachurski, thank you for your kind words!
    Pawel Nowosielski
    @pnowosie
    Indeed, we’re still using PivotalTracker as we used to when repo was private. The effort to migrate all tasks we have there to GH makes no sense, and instead we can focus on cool MoreVP stuff.
    Pawel Nowosielski
    @pnowosie
    However I think we’ll keep open in GH some design decissions like omisego/elixir-omg#191 that community could get insides of.
    Regarding contribution I’ll ask the question on our sprint planning session and follow up soon.
    Brad Stachurski
    @bradleystachurski
    thanks @pnowosie!

    @bradleystachurski thanks for pointing this out to us! We'll get some contribution guidelines written for the elixir-omg repository.

    Is elixir the programming language orr?
    Paul Peregud
    @paulperegud
    @sprifitzpatrick Yes, it is. You can read about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elixir_(programming_language)

    Hello all, i was wondering that omiseGO elixir-omg and ewallet, can i use to geather? for example: sdk for client app and elixir-omg for backend, if yes then please provide some documentation/blog/video/(anything that can help) for the same?
    Pawel Nowosielski
    @pnowosie
    Hello @imVinayPandya, thanks for the message. Apollogies for my ignorance regarding eWallet. However you can fully experience how OMG network operates using software just in elixir-omg repo. The easiest way to start is following docker path explined in the readme. Master branch should be stable enough. Client app in your example can leverage Watcher’s API to cover most simple cases. Please see api specs. Then you can check demos contained in the docs folder (repo). Am I answered the question?
    Vinay Pandya
    @imVinayPandya
    thank you @pnowosie for your reply. yes you have answered it. i have already started exploring elixir-omg. willing to contribute in this project in future.

    I'm glad being helpful. If you encounter any issue or something isn't clear in docs please feel free to post an issue on Github or ask here. Thank you!

    hello every one. After reading tesuji plasma doc, I have a question regard to operator fee exist. How do watchers challenge an invalid operator fee exist? What kind of proof shall watchers provide? Is there a doc describing this case? Thank you!
    pgarrity18
    @pgarrity18
    I too would like to know how to contribute. I altered xomg-vagrant to automate install of elixir-omg on an esxi server and I thought I would share what I have done. Perhaps it would be useful to developers who share an esxi server. I considered doing the same for the ewallet server.
    Paul Peregud
    @paulperegud
    @yutongp No, they don't challenge. Watchers track amount of funds collected by operator via fees. If operator tries to exit more - operator is considered malicious/hacked and everyone needs to exit. In a way this is the same as producing invalid block. Amount of exitable fees is actually easy to track, but it is still a TODO.
    Pawel Nowosielski
    @pnowosie
    @yutongp - btw, excellent question!

    I have a question, I run a omiseGo Watcher for whats? as a miner or staker ?
    pdobacz
    @pdobacz

    hi @babykiss100_twitter, welcome

    I run a omiseGo Watcher for whats? as a miner or staker ?

    Currently - as neither. Any user of the OmiseGO network, who wants to operate without trusting any 3P, should run their Watcher. The Watcher ensures that the child chain operates correctly (and funds are secure) and provides access to data necessary to move funds.

    Baby Kiss
    @babykiss100_twitter
    @pdobacz so as a miner can i earn OMG via running watcher node ?
    also do you have document to guide setup step by step ?
    pdobacz
    @pdobacz

    @babykiss100_twitter

    as a miner can i earn OMG via running watcher

    nope, there's no such functionality implemented yet.

    The network is currently operating in PoA, so the operator can charge and earn fees. This isn't technically "mining" though.

    Running the watcher currently doesn't earn you any OMG. Running the watcher is just to ensure security of the funds deposited to the child chain.
