I'm thinking something along the lines of how if RUBY_ENGINE != 'opal' blocks don't get compiled, but for a compiler flag. For example, an unset :debug compiler flag could skip compiling this entire block:
debug do
warn "You're using a deprecated feature" if feature.deprecated?
end

just published a basic opal wrapper for bootbox which provides simple alert, confirmation and prompt dialogs - https://rubygems.org/gems/opal-bootbox or https://github.com/balmoral/opal-bootbox

@catmando How should it work? You need it for building models?

we use reactive-record on the client side (pulls active-record models down to the client) so to do any component testing of our react.rb models I would like to use factory girl.
