@catmando if you have loading speed issues try memory caching. Got my loading time down from 12s to 1. With OpalServer the config line is s.sprockets.cache = Sprockets::Cache::MemoryStore.new(5000)

I would like to get the current Url. I try $window.locationbut I get undefined methodlocation' for #<Browser::Window:0x27a>`
I want to avoid %x{window.location.href}

This means, I cannot try it in opalrb.org/try
@elia What is the status of Opal-Browser? Is it still maintained? Or should I hack something for myself?

yeah, still maintained, I just haven't been able to dedicate any time to it so far to improve the cherry picking and fix the testing stuff

I am not aware if it is part of Opal now, or do I have to include it somehow to use it?

hm, isn’t still maintained and have no time a contradictory of terms. It has year old issues, and hardly any commits since 2014. Just looking at those kind of projects from the outside they seem unused and the only thing that really helps in that situation is a new maintainer. (just 2 cent off course)
meh.
@meh

dancinglightning, it can also mean it requires no changes
a project without recent commits doesn't imply inactive or incomplete
besides it's under the opal org, which means everyone is a maintainer ;)

@meh but it has github issues, so that means some people think it could use change (me including off course). elia put it nicely, could use some love. And the org argument doesn’t really work as you will have to admit to yourself if you just think about someone else but you doing changes there that you don’t agree with.
