    The curriculum grew out of my own need of a decent path to follow for learning Data Science/Machine Learning which I couldn't find at that time...So I would say, feel free to discuss and suggest improvements wherever possible
    I am planning to do some major overhauls to the curriculum, make it more lean and targeted ...but my hands are more than full right now :(

    @royshouvik Hello Shouvik i think you can use this site to improve the curriculum

    If someone wants to join the cohorts team that will build the guides for students to create/manage their own cohorts, feel free to ping us here ossu/roadmap#11.

    Is there any similar curriculum to learn AI
    Rob
    @robbrit
    @JasonHu22500045_twitter an AI curriculum would overlap significantly with the computer-science curriculum
    If you wanted to do that, I'd do the CS curriculum since you'll need most of the coding and math skills in AI, and then for the specialization at the end try and find some good AI and ML classes

    Hello guys i,m looking for programmers with c , c++ , c# skills or somebody who is able to decompile ex4 file into mql4 for the project that need to be finished as soon as possible :)) !!! Once there will be someone interested be sure to write me an email :)) on jaroslaw.mezencev@gmail.com
I will write you all details and everything what i need to be done in the project , once there will be satisfaction on both sides we can continue in the cooperation because i have lots of project that needs to be done :) !!!!

    @Squall130
    hey guys, can i have your opinion about my situation ?
    so i like CS i'm learning it, but there are some things that i really dislike, for example, web development, i can't bear it, it's because i don't feel like i develop something really useful, i always wanted to use AI and robotics to work on real world problems
    so i wanted to ask you if data scientist, which use machine learning might fit more in my path and my projects than software development
    Arjun Singh
    @Squall130
    it's because i don't see my future one day working to build some mobile apps, or some web pages, or things like that, it doesn't have any meaning to me
    so i was thinking maybe data science might closer to my personal objectives than CS ?

    hey is anyone currently going through this process? I'm around 2.5 months in. Would be cool to swap notes/exchange ideas/progress etc.
    Marcus Guidoti
    @guidotiSci_twitter
    hey guys and girls, is this curriculum active? like, are peolpe still doing it/updating it?
    Jack Bridger
    @jackbridger
    Hey Marcus, i don't think so!
    Also feel like the curriculum could do with a bit of refining
    Marcus Guidoti
    @guidotiSci_twitter
    @jackbridger that's too bad. The CS curriculum seems to be actively maintained. I would be interested in this one as well.. but I've not enough knowledge to effectively contribute towards a data science curriculum.. =/
    Jack Bridger
    @jackbridger
    Yeah I agree, are you thinking of completing this/something similar?
    Marcus Guidoti
    @guidotiSci_twitter
    yes... I wanted to commit to a long term training program based on free, and well-structured, courses in data science, going through good math courses as well and not only state-of-the-art topics like machine and deep learning, as most of the online courses do nowadays... but I guess I'll have to figure out on my own?
    do you've any other source that list courses, or discuss a path, like OSSU does for CS?
    Jack Bridger
    @jackbridger
    Yeah I'm actually doing something similar. Spent 3 months going through Maths courses but then came to realisation that a) programming exp is really important esp. if you're not super high level statistician etc. and b) I want more collaboration/social learning. It's hard to find that for free but I'm exploring options atm.
    Marcus Guidoti
    @guidotiSci_twitter
    and it's so easy to fall into some pitfalls, paying a considerably amount of money for not that much in exchange...
    which math courses have you taken thus far?
    Jack Bridger
    @jackbridger
    In terms of module guidelines, this Masters degree is a good guideline and then picking through modules in coursera/edx/MIT OCW https://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/graduate/taught-degrees/machine-learning-msc
    Marcus Guidoti
    @guidotiSci_twitter
    @jackbridger thanks!
    Jack Bridger
    @jackbridger
    I took this https://www.coursera.org/specializations/mathematics-machine-learning and also this https://www.coursera.org/learn/mathematical-thinking? and started on Gilbert Strang's Linear Algebra course. Other than that I've done Andrew Ng's ML course and a course on udacity. But my focus now is to get a dev job first and then come back to the maths in my spare time.
    Btw: reason I took the mathemtatical thinking course is that I really wanted to build a decent foundation for how to solve maths problems - it's a really good course but took me quite a while and most specs don't include it
    What's your current job?
    Marcus Guidoti
    @guidotiSci_twitter
    I'm actually working as a data scientist for a company concerned with biodiversity big data problem. My background is in the biological sciences, but I've some CS background as well and thus, they got interested in me. I want to complete the career transition while in this job, so I'm looking for options.
    In fact, while finishing my PhD I started to research and sort of pave my way towards a complete career change. I was looking more into web dev than data science, and I started a Udacity full-stack nanodegree before getting the job. Now I'm in the middle of three different fields. Basically, hehe.
    so my day is working a lot. than studying a lot. and I can see it will be like this for a couple of years to come if I want to do this right.
    Jack Bridger
    @jackbridger
    ok that's an amazing position to be in. I did study CS but worked in tech sales for a couple of years so don't have professional exp making software
    Marcus Guidoti
    @guidotiSci_twitter
    building up a collaborative/social learning environment is def. important, helpful, and something that I'm looking forward as well.
