    Hello guys, where do you prefer the translation of QFIELD GUI? Some time ago I updated the translation to Portuguese PT in Transifex, but I noticed that in the Settings of Layout still see everything in English
    thanks for your time

    @/all using QGIS 2.18.21 Win7 with OSGeoInstaller i have this issue:
    1.º Install QGIS2compat;
    2.º Install QFieldSync (get an error saying and i'm remain with invalid plugin install)
    1. Close QGIS and Open again.
    2. The QFieldSync workfines and QGIS2compat but crash other plugins e.g. Processing Toolbox, Statist
    it's seems is a problem of Qgis2compat
    do you have same issue

    Guys, i confirm this issue reported by @jonnyforestGIS but in Linux Mint
    Matthias Kuhn
    @m-kuhn

    /all
    and actually no longer recommended
    João Gaspar
    @jonnyforestGIS
    @m-kuhn confirm in 2.18.21 and 2.18.22 install without qgis2compat in 2.18.21 thanks for your update

    @/all i have a suggestion for the github repo identification issues. Informe the user that (e.g. wiki ou readme.md) before the submission of the issue he most to set a flag or tag with [Feature Request] , [Bug] , [Info] in the issue topic to be more clear when we filter the issues in the github repo?
    João Gaspar
    @jonnyforestGIS
    sorry i want to say for the qfieldsync github repo

    @jonnyforestGIS

    @m-kuhn @signedav @mbernasocchi i did little test report in four equipment's:
    Caterpillar Smartphone Cat S41
    Wiko
    Samsung Galaxy S7
    Huawei P8 Lite

    I test the photo attachment, google maps form design. They have some common "bugs" ( i'm assuming because if they all have the same behavior is a bug, can be a configuration). Before i submit in github issues and share the project attach do you have some time to review a pdf that i wrote of this behaviors? I'm preparing screenshots to put in this report.

    Another question: Do you want issue for each topics or all in the same issue?

    Can i put in here the pdf test report and you give me some feedback in here our do you want an email with this subject?
    i'm testing (but without report for now) the qfield in a emulator on windows tablet (KO player). Do you have in mind the effort and cost to have a release for windows as well?

    @signedav
    Hi @jonnyforestGIS Best would be when you open issues in the QField Repo. But if you've already spent the time in creating a PDF you could upload it here.
    João Gaspar
    @jonnyforestGIS
    ok i share in here and we can filter what is definitely is a bug or is a wrong behavior of the user (Me :smirk: ) then i can purge this information and put correct info

    Hi! Do you have any example Android (java) working with QField?
    signedav
    @signedav
    Sorry what do you mean?QField running on an Android OS?
    Dzmitry Dzianisau
    @Dream-By
    Not certainly in that way. How QField add in Android Studio for development?
    Matthias Kuhn
    @m-kuhn
    Hi, QField is written mostly in C++ / QML and there are only small parts in Java. If you want to extend it, it will be easier using these languages (and QtCreator as IDE)
    Dzmitry Dzianisau
    @Dream-By
    So.. It's a hard way... I know about C++. Thanks. Maybe I find another way.

    hi, can i change QField in android studio
    Dzmitry Dzianisau
    @Dream-By
    how?

    Hello; in the last update of the application, have you not included START TRACKING? I think it was a very good complement to the application; traking the route !! I miss her... ;(
    Matthias Kuhn
    @m-kuhn
    @pacoogrove it's still there, long click a layer and start tracking
    Francisco Pérez
    @pacoogrove
    Thanks, I already solved it. Indeed the application works well.

    Hi guys
    I'm currently lurking around the source code to know more about the tracking part
    As I see on Android, tracking is not possible when screen goes off, which is due to QField not being able to fetch GPS location
    A temporary workaround, I assume, is to make the screen not turn off. This has already been implemented by the devs
    What I'm wondering is, is it possible (in ur opinion) to port or move some of the tracking code to an Android service? I expect by doing the tracking things in a separate service we'll be able to track location without leaving the screen on

    Hi Hieu.
    Good timing !
    We are currently preparing a crowd funding for implementing exactly this proposal

    Hey there,
    I'm having this issue when I try to run my self-built QField on Android. Should anyone faced it before and has a solution, please give me some hints… :laughing: Thanks very much.
    F QField : ASSERT: "!isEmpty()" in file █████/Qt/5.15.2/android/include/QtCore/qlist.h, line 361 in file █████/Qt/5.15.2/android/include/QtCore/qlist.h line 361
    F libc    : Fatal signal 6 (SIGABRT), code -6 in tid 7523 (qtMainLoopThrea), pid 7501 (.opengis.qfield)
    P.S. I built the apk successfully, most of the build process is the same as in qfield-sdk Docker image. I use Qt Creator so as to develop more efficiently
    Matthias Kuhn
    @m-kuhn
    Hi, this normally happens when there's an error loading the qml files. Look out for warnings/errors that give more details

    Hey, I'm testing QField on Windows 10 on my Surface Pro. Because there is no built-in GPS device I use btGPS to transmit GPS data from my phone (Pixel 6 Pro/Oneplus 7T Pro) to the Surface Pro. This works fine with several apps/software like QGIS etc.

    It seems QField for Windows is not capable of getting the signal from the COM-port connected over bluetooth with the phone. Is there a workable solution to that or is it planned to make this possible? Thanks in advance. BR, Robert

    Hey @m-kuhn , now that you've switched to vcpkg to build for Android, can you show me the preliminary steps to setup vcpkg?
