How are you doing it now?

i’m binding to canvas-blah events and disabling viewer pan etc
mind you, I guess you then wouldn’t be able to pan/drag around whilst selecting areas

Seems like if you put a large overlay over it you'll still have to manage when the user is selecting vs. zooming/panning

say I did take the large overlay approach, would it be easy to send events through to the canvas?

I don't have a lot of experience with manually passing DOM events around, so I can't say

@jedateach Yeah, that's different.
@/all I've finally put together a page of OpenSeadragon in the wild: http://openseadragon.github.io/examples/in-the-wild/ let me know if I've missed anything!

@jedateach Passing DOM events around gets sticky cross-platform. You do need to allow/prevent bubbling to get the desired effect. Unfortunately it’s not completely clean in OpenSeadragon due to legacy code restraints, but with a combination of MouseTracker and the OpenSeadragonViewerInputHook plugin it’s manageable.
