I didn't create vanilla canvas plugin, because resizing would be different for different canvas libraries, I think

Well, it's just speculation on my part, but it seems like people would find it useful.
Especially when you want to do a lot of overlays (more than would be reasonable with SVG) I could see wanting the canvas version, and not everyone is going to be using fabric
Anyway, just a thought

my demo allows for moving/resizing fabricjs object interactively, but not creating them
