I for one do not have that many issues to discuss. The students have made their assessments on Oskari and there were quite good points. But they are in Finnish... Issues in usability of the map were quite useful, e.g. how to navigate in different dialogues (they noticed that Thematic Maps dialogue acts differently than the others and does not shut down when navigating to other tools, also they wondered about the meaning of the green balls in the map layers :D - I too started to wonder... And one thing that they commented was that they did not understand the difference of Thematic Maps & Map Layers, quite understandable since there are thematic maps under map layers...). Somebody of them also had managed to install Oskari without any problems, but when the map is empty (because there is no background map ready) it caused a bit of questions. 1/3 had managed to install Oskari... the 2 did not have any explanation why they failed (I asked them, but they could not say, so probably due to the fact that they did not time / resources / knowledge)
So did they test paikkatietoikkuna (most other environments should have gray dots on the layers instead of green ones)
If you click the green dot is should take you to spatineos site
They are status indicators
yes, and they found red dots also :D
Yep, same thing
Click and it takes you to the statuspage on spatineo
Not sure why it would be confusing
Well, the gray dots on instances without monitoring integration i can understand, but colored ones should be pretty clear
Or atleast not cause much frustration
Not sure if the cursor turns to ”clickable” on hover so it might not be clear that you can click them
Regarding the agenda I dont really have anything to add at this point. We (nls) are having a couple of meetings later this week for the 2019 roadmap. So I’ll add those to GitHub for the January meeting hopefully
Hmm, Sami might not be working today due to illness. We'll probably know before noon Finnish time.
I’ll join the psc meeting from home. Sanna can do all the heavy lifting :D
He said he'd participate regardless. Working-class hero.
And even quick as a fox
Who could ever say open source wasn’t altruistic..?
Thank you for the meeting! This issue should be resolved until next Tuesday 26th of February. All PSC members: go through the issue and comment here or to the GitHub. It will be then voted on Tuesday what to do with the proposal: oskariorg/oskari-docs#96 - Thank you!
